Gold Fields Notices.

Gold-Mining Lease cancelled.

Mines Department,
Wellington, 18th May, 1885.

IT is hereby notified that His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to pronounce the under-mentioned gold-mining lease cancelled, and that the ground is now open for application as if no lease of the said ground had ever been applied for:—

George Wise, for the Balaclava Quartz-Mining Company, Reefton District, being Section No. 24, Block II., Waitahu Survey District, containing 16 acres and 22 perches.

Gold-Mining Lease to be granted.

IN conformity with the thirty-seventh section of “The Mines Act, 1877,” and with the regulations made under that Act for the granting of leases for gold-mining purposes, it is hereby notified that it is intended to grant a lease of Crown lands for gold-mining purposes to the applicants specified in the annexed Schedule, unless there shall be valid objections against such lease.

Objections to the granting of such lease, stating the grounds of objection, must be made in writing, and lodged with the Warden at Reefton on or before the 8th day of July, 1885.

Copy of the application made and plan annexed may be seen at the Warden’s Office at Reefton.


SCHEDULE.

APPLICANTS: William G. Collings, William Cummings, and Daniel McGee. Style under which it is intended to conduct the business: “North-easter Gold-Mining Company.” 16 acres 2 roods, at Merry Jigs, near Reefton, in the Nelson South-West Mining District.

Given under my hand, at Nelson, this sixteenth day of May, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-five.
