"THE MINING COMPANIES ACT, 1872."

SECOND SCHEDULE.

I, the undersigned, hereby make application to register the Manaia Gold-Mining Company as a Limited Company, under the provisions of "The Mining Companies Act, 1872."

  1. The name of the company is to be the Manaia Gold-Mining Company (Limited).
  2. The place of operations is at Manaia, Hauraki Gold-Mining District.
  3. The registered office of the company will be situated at Auckland (Scherff's Buildings).
  4. The nominal capital of the company is fifteen thousand pounds, in thirty thousand shares of ten shillings each.
  5. The number of shares subscribed for is thirty thousand, being not less than two-thirds of the entire number of shares in the company.
  6. The number of paid-up shares is nil.
  7. The amount already paid up is nil.
  8. The name of the Manager is William Horne.
  9. The names and addresses and occupations of the shareholders, and the number of shares held by each at this date, are as follow:—

ST. MARY'S CONVENT PROPERTY LEASES ACT, 1885.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is the intention of the Right Reverend John Edmund Luck, Roman Catholic Bishop of Auckland, and Catherine De Laney, Margaret Maria Ennis, and Annie Comerford, Members of the Religious Order of Sisters of Mercy at Auckland, to apply, by petition to the General Assembly at its next session, for a Bill to enable them to grant leases of certain lands at Auckland, and now vested in them, for a term not exceeding sixty-six years, instead of term of twenty-one years. Copies of the said Bill will be deposited in the Examiner's office not later than the 10th June proximo.

AUCKLAND NATIVE LANDS COLONIZATION COMPANY (LIMITED).

NOTICE.

AT an extraordinary general meeting of the members of the above-named company, duly convened and held at the company's office, Fort Street, Auckland, on the 26th day of March last, the subjoined special resolution was duly passed; and at a subsequent extraordinary general meeting of the members of the said company, also duly convened, and held at the same place on the 23rd day of April instant, the said resolution was duly confirmed:—

RESOLUTION.

"That the Auckland Native Lands Colonization Company (Limited) be wound up voluntarily; and that Frank Scherff be, and he is hereby appointed, Liquidator for the purpose of such winding up."

BOROUGH OF BLENHEIM.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is the intention of the Blenheim Borough Council to construct a drain through Section No. 5, Omaka District, such drain to run from an existing drain at the southern boundary of said section to the Omaka River; and, for the purpose of constructing such drain, it is the intention of the said Council to take a strip of land containing by admeasurement one rood and thirty-seven perches, extending through the said section from the said drain to the said river; as the same is delineated on a plan deposited in the office of the Town Clerk of the Borough of Blenheim, situate at the Government Buildings, Blenheim. All persons affected by the above public work are required to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections they may have to the execution of the said work or to the taking of such land, and to send such writing to the office of the said Town Clerk, at the Government Buildings, Blenheim aforesaid, within forty days from the 24th day of April, 1885, being the date of the first publication of this notice.

WE hereby convene a general meeting of shareholders of the above company, to be holden at the office of Mr. R. H. Leary, Accountant, Bond Street, Dunedin, on Friday, the 10th day of July, 1885, at half-past 2 o'clock in the afternoon, for the purpose of receiving an account from the Liquidators showing the manner in which the winding-up has been conducted and the property of the company disposed of.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Hutt Park Railway Company (Limited) propose to construct a railway, under "The District Railways Act, 1877," from a certain point at Petone, on the Government Railway from Wellington to Masterton, to a certain point on the west bank of the western branch of the Hutt River, where the waterworks bridge crosses it, and has caused the middle line and direction thereof to be set forth on a plan and described in a book of reference showing the lands required to be taken for the same and the names of the owners and occupiers of such lands so far as they can be ascertained; and that copies of such plan and book of reference have been deposited for public inspection at the offices of the Petone Town Board and Hutt County Council respectively, and also at the Public Works Office, in the City of Wellington, in the Colony of New Zealand.
