Mining Notices.
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT WATER-RACE.
To the Mining Registrar at Kanieri, and all other persons whom it may concern.
TAKE notice that it is intended to construct a water-race and divert water for mining purposes, commencing at a point on the right-hand branch of Kanieri River, one mile above Benard’s Creek, taking from it ten heads of water, crossing Benard’s Creek and taking therefrom four heads of water, then crossing McGregor’s Creek and taking from it three heads of water, and terminating at applicants’ extended claim, situated between the right-hand branch of the Kanieri River and Parnel’s Creek.
The length of such race is four miles or thereabouts, and its intended course is north and south.
The estimated time for construction and completion is three years,
The mean depth is 3 feet, and the mean breadth 4 feet, and it is intended to divert twenty Government-heads of water.

TAKE notice that it is intended to construct a Water-race and divert water for gold-mining or irrigation purposes, commencing at a point in Poison Creek, about three-fourths of a mile distant, above the main road from Cromwell to Wanaka, and terminating on the east bank of the Clutha River, opposite Sandy Point, taking up two small creeks on its course.
Length of race: Two and a half miles or thereabouts.
Mean breadth: 2 feet.
Depth: 1½ feet.
Quantity of water proposed to divert: Four Government-heads.
Time required for construction: Already constructed.
Term for which license required: Fifteen years.
Dated at Cromwell, this 22nd day of April, 1885.

THE GORGE GOLD-MINING COMPANY (LIMITED).
AT an extraordinary meeting of Shareholders in this company, held on the 24th instant, it was decided to increase the capital of the company by the issue of 1,500 new shares, of the nominal value of £1 each, but upon which 13s. per share will be considered as paid up, the balance being payable—2s. per share on application, and 2s. on allotment, and the remainder as required under the rules of the company.

THE WESTPORT COLLIERY COMPANY (LIMITED), IN LIQUIDATION.
A General Meeting of the Westport Colliery Company (Limited) will be held at the offices of the Westport Coal Company (Limited), Vogel Street, Dunedin, on Wednesday, the 3rd June, 1885, at 3 o’clock in the afternoon, for the purpose of receiving the Liquidator’s account of the winding-up of the company and the disposal of the property of the company, and of hearing any explanation the Liquidator may have to make in connection with the same.

I, the undersigned, hereby make application to register the Bulmer Creek Gold-Mining Company as a Limited Company, under the provisions of “The Mining Companies Act, 1872,” and amendments thereof.

The place of intended operations is at Bulmer Creek, in the District of Owen, in the County of Inangahua, in the Colony of New Zealand.

The nominal capital of the company is twenty-four thousand pounds, in twenty-four thousand shares of one pound each, upon each of which the sum of ten shillings per share is considered to be paid up.
