A PROCLAMATION.

BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in him by the second section of “The Land
Act 1877 Amendment Act, 1882,” and of every other power
and authority enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said
colony, doth hereby declare that the sections of land enume-
rated in the Schedule hereto shall be subject to the pro-
visions of sections three to forty-eight of “The Land Act
1877 Amendment Act, 1882.”

Proclamation abolishing Wellington District Court District.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by “The District Courts Act, 1858,” it is
enacted that there shall be within the colony Courts
of Record possessing civil and criminal jurisdiction, to be
called District Courts; and the Governor is empowered from
time to time, as he shall think fit, by Proclamation in the New
Zealand Gazette, to constitute throughout the colony, or in
any part thereof, districts within which such Courts shall be
respectively held, and such districts to abolish, and the
boundaries thereof to define and alter: And whereas by a
Proclamation bearing date the eighteenth day of June, one
thousand eight hundred and seventy-eight, and published in
the New Zealand Gazette on the twentieth day of June, one
thousand eight hundred and seventy-eight, His Excellency
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance
and exercise of the powers and authorities for that purpose
vested in him, did constitute and define the district in and
by the said Proclamation described and referred to, and
named therein the Wellington District: And whereas by
a Proclamation bearing date the twelfth day of March,
one thousand eight hundred and eighty-four, and published
in the New Zealand Gazette on the thirteenth day of March,
one thousand eight hundred and eighty-four, the boundaries
of the said Wellington District were altered: And whereas
it is expedient to abolish the said district:
