IN THE SUPREME COURT OF NEW ZEALAND,
WELLINGTON DISTRICT.
In the matter of “The Companies Act, 1882;” and in the
matter of the New Zealand Leather Manufacturing
Company (Limited); and in the matter of the petition of
Walter Turnbull and James Smith, carrying on busi-
ness in copartnership under the style of “Turnbull, Smith,
and Co.,” and the Bank of New Zealand, Creditors of
the above-named company.
NOTICE is hereby given that, on the hearing of the
above petition on Tuesday, the 6th day of January
instant, the honourable the Supreme Court of New Zealand
did order that the New Zealand Leather Manufacturing
Company (Limited) be wound up by the Court, under the
provisions of “The Companies Act, 1882;” and the said Court
did appoint Archibald Davidson Sommerville, of the City
of Wellington, Bank Agent, and James Guilford, of the
said city, Merchant, to be Official Liquidators of the said
company, and in the winding-up thereof.

FEATHERSTON ROAD BOARD.
NOTICE UNDER THE PUBLIC WORKS ACT.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Featherston Road
Board intend to take the land comprised in a line of
road 100 links in width, and commencing at the angle of
Underhill Road, Featherston Block, between Section No. 1
and Section No. 75, and following the boundary of the said
sections as the centre of the road for 2303 links to the west
corner of Section No. 75; then taking the south-east boundary
of Section No. 521 as the centre of the road, and following the
same for 5376 links to its junction with the road laid off by
the Government; as the same is more particularly delineated
upon a plan of the said proposed road which has been
deposited at the office of the Board in Featherston, and
is now open for public inspection.
All persons affected by the taking of such land are hereby
required to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections
to the taking of such land, and to send such writing to the
said Featherston Road Board within forty days from the
first publication of this notice.

Government road forming the north-east boundary of
Section 87, Wharekaka Block, and crossing Section 85 in a
direct line with the Government road to the boundary of the
Hikinui Native Reserve, a distance of 2238 links, for the
purpose of forming a public road; as the same is more
particularly delineated upon a plan of the said proposed
road, which has been deposited at the office of the Board in
Featherston, and is now open for public inspection.
All persons affected by the taking of such land are hereby
required to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections
to the taking of such land, and to send such writing, within
forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the said
Featherston Road Board.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership hitherto
existing between William Graham, Cholwell Dean
Pitt, and Charles Debenham Bennett, under the style of
“Graham, Pitt, and Bennett,” has been dissolved as from
the 31st day of December, 1884,” the said William Graham
retiring from the said firm, whose interest in the said busi-
ness has been purchased by Cholwell Dean Pitt and Charles
Debenham Bennett; and the whole estate and interest in the
said business belonging to the said William Graham is
assigned to the said Cholwell Dean Pitt and Charles Deben-
ham Bennett, who in future will carry on the said business,
paying all debts due by and receiving all moneys due to the
said firm of Graham, Pitt, and Bennett.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore
subsisting between us, the undersigned, Richard
Dunn Thomas and Francis Henry Bruges, carrying on
business at No. 207, Hereford Street, in the City of Christ-
church, as Barristers and Solicitors, was dissolved by effluxion
of time on the 31st December, 1884.
All accounts owing to and by the late firm will be received
and paid by Mr. R. D. Thomas, at his chambers, 207, Here-
ford Street, Christchurch.

LAND TAKEN UNDER “THE PUBLIC WORKS ACT,
1882.”
THE Wairau Road District Board hereby give notice that
it is their intention to take, under the provisions con-
tained in “The Public Works Act, 1882,” that portion of
land as hereafter set forth, for the purpose of completing
the road known as the Gorge Connection Road. Plans and
full description of the same can be seen at the residence of
the Chairman of the said Board. All persons affected are
hereby requested to set forth in writing any reasonable ob-
jections to the execution of such work or the taking of such
land, within forty days from date, to the Chairman of Dis-
trict Board.

ROAD TAKEN UNDER “THE PUBLIC WORKS ACT, 1882.”
SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Auck-
land, in the Colony of New Zealand, containing by admea-
surement 1 rood 19 perches, more or less, situated in the
Parish of Wairau, in the Wairau Road District, and being a
portion of a road-line, 100 links wide, traversing the south-
eastern portion of Section No. 17.
Commencing at a point on the south-western boundary of
Section No. 17 at a distance of 190 links or thereabouts from
its south-eastern angle. Bounded towards the North-west
by lines, 69 links, 226 links, and 165 links respectively;
towards the East generally by lines, 151.4 links, 23 links, 224
links, and 32 links respectively; and towards the South-west
by a line, 114.3 links, to the commencing point: be all the
aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on
Plan No. 3682, deposited in the Survey Office at Auckland.

NOTICE is hereby given that, at an extraordinary
general meeting of the above company, held on the
12th day of December instant, a special resolution was
passed, “That this company be wound up voluntarily forth-
with,” which resolution was confirmed at a subsequent
meeting held on the 31st day of December instant, when it
was further resolved, “That Fortunatus Evelyn Wright be
