AN application having been made to the Governor to incorporate into the Borough of St. Kilda the lands hereunder described, His Excellency, by his Deputy, directs it to be notified that, unless within two months from the public notification hereof a petition or petitions, as required by “The Municipal Corporations Acts Amendment Act, 1880,” is or are presented to His Excellency, he will proceed to incorporate the said lands into the said borough, and annex them to the wards upon which they abut.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the County of Peninsula, containing 49 acres 1 rood 18 perches. Bounded towards the North generally by the Borough of St. Kilda, from the Forbury Road to the north-eastern boundary of Section No. 7, Block VII., Otago Peninsula; thence towards the East by a right line to and by the north-eastern boundary-line of Section No. 27, Otago Agricultural and Pastoral Association Grounds; thence towards the South by the south-eastern and south-western boundary-lines of said Section No. 27, and by the southern side of the Victoria Road, and the south-eastern boundary of Application No. 12, Block XII., Dunedin and East Taieri District; thence towards the West by the Forbury Road to the starting point: as delineated on the plans in the Survey Office, Dunedin.

NOTICE is hereby given that W. H. LEWIS, of 47, Queen Street, Melbourne, in the Colony of Victoria, Solicitor, has applied, on behalf of FREDERICK ALBERT LEWIS and JOHN BENJAMIN WHITTY, of Melbourne aforesaid, trading as Manufacturers of Oilmen’s Stores, &c., under the name, style, or firm of “Lewis and Whitty,” to register, under “The Trade Marks Act, 1866,” the trade mark of which the following is a description, viz. :—
Description of Trade Mark.
The word “Camphor” within an oblong-shaped figure formed of four lines, the corners of the figure being curved inwards; the same being impressed upon the articles and packages containing the articles to which the said trade mark shall apply.
Nature of the Articles to which it is intended such Trade Mark shall apply.

NOTICE is hereby given that Messrs. W. AND G. TURNBULL AND CO., of Wellington, in the Colony of New Zealand, Merchants, have applied to register, under “The Trade Marks Act, 1866,” the trade mark of which the following is a description :—
Description of Trade Mark.
(When used as a Label on Bottles.)
A paper label, about 5 inches long and 2½ inches wide, with a white ground and a black border about 1/32 inch wide; within this border, separated by a space of about 1/32 inch, is a narrow black line. On the left side of the label within the double border is a shield-like figure, about 1¾ inches long and 1¼ inches wide, formed by two narrow black lines about 1/16 inch apart. Within the shield is the figure of a bull’s head, about ¾ inch long and ⅝ inch wide, printed in gilt; on the left side of which is the word “Trade,” and on the right side the word “Mark,” in black letters about 1/16 inch long. Below the figure of the bull’s head is a scroll, about 1¼ inches long and ⅜ inch wide, formed by two narrow black lines; on the scroll are the words “Fortuna favet audaci,” printed in black letters about 1/16 inch long. On the right side of the shield-like figure are the words “V.O.,” about 1 inch long, printed in gilt, with black edge. Below these letters are the words “Highland Whisky,” printed in gilt letters about ⅜ inch long; below which are the words “John Hopkins & Co.,” printed in black letters about 3/16 inch long; and below these are the words “London and Glasgow,” printed in gilt letters about ¼ inch long.
