Oreti River; thence again towards the East by that river to the road forming the north-eastern boundary of Section No. 134, Taringatura Survey District; thence again towards the South generally by that road and the road forming the eastern and northern boundaries of Sections Nos. 216, 215, 143, 193, and 194, and a line due west from the south-western corner of Section No. 196, all of the said Taringatura Survey District, to the Aparima River; thence towards the West by that river to its confluence with the Hamilton Burn; thence by a right line due north to the Oreti River, and by that river to its confluence with the Windley Stream; and thence towards the North-west by the north-western boundary-line of the old Province of Southland to Eyre Peak; and thence to the source of the Mataura River aforesaid, the place of commencement.

WINTON DISTRICT.

Bounded towards the North generally by the Lumsden District, hereinbefore described; towards the East by the Otapiri Stream to the south-eastern corner of Section No. 21, Winton Hundred; thence by the Forest Hill Hundred; towards the South by the New River Hundred; towards the South-west by the Waimatuku River to its source; and thence by a right line north-west to cut the Aparima River; and towards the North-west and West by the said Aparima River to the Lumsden District aforesaid.

GORE DISTRICT.

Bounded towards the North-west generally by the Lumsden District, hereinbefore described, from the Otapiri Stream to the Mataura River; thence towards the North-east by that river to a point due west of the Pyramid; thence towards the North by the Wendon and Greenvale Survey Districts; towards the East and again towards the North by the Glenkenich Survey District to the south-eastern corner of Section No. 27, Block V., of that district; thence again towards the North by said Section No. 27; again towards the North-east by a road south-west of Sections Nos. 13, 14, 11, and 10 of the said Block V., and 17, 18, 27, 28, 29, 30, 32, 37, and 41 of Block IX., Glenkenich Survey District aforesaid; towards the South and again towards the East by the Waipahee Survey District to the railway-line; thence again towards the North-east by the said railway-line; towards the South-east by the Waipahee River to Block XI.; again towards the South by Section No. 5 of Block XI., Waipahee Survey District, and by Blocks IX., XII., and XIII. of Waikaka Survey District; again towards the South-east by Blocks XIII. and VII. of said district, and Block I., Tuturau Survey District, to a point opposite the confluence of the Charlton Creek and the Mataura River; thence across the said river; towards the South-west and again towards the South by the Waimumu Survey District and the Forest Hill Hundred to the Otapiri Stream; and thence towards the West by the Winton District, hereinbefore described, to the place of commencement.

And I hereby declare that this Proclamation shall come into operation on the sixteenth day of July, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty-four.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS Thomas Windle Parker, who was appointed a Trustee of the Oamaru Hospital Reserves, under “The Oamaru Hospital Reserves Act, 1874,” has resigned such appointment, and it is expedient to appoint another person in his stead:

Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by virtue of every power vested in me by the said Act, and otherwise by law, do hereby appoint

GEORGE SUMPTER, Esquire,

of Oamaru, to be a Trustee of the Oamaru Hospital Reserves.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is vested in a certain aboriginal native of New Zealand, subject to certain restrictions on the alienation of such land, and application has been made for the removal of such restrictions:

It is hereby notified that it is the intention of His Excellency the Governor, immediately after the expiration of sixty days from the publication of this notice in the Gazette and in the Kahiti, to remove the said restrictions on the alienation of the said land.

Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir William Francis Drummond Jervois, Lieutenant-General in Her Majesty’s Army, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Companion of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this thirtieth day of May, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty-four.
