Land taken for a Further Portion of the Foxton-New Plymouth Railway (Additional Land at Foxton Station).

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, under “The Public Works Act, 1882,” for the use of a certain work, which has already been partly executed, namely, the Foxton-New Plymouth Railway:

And whereas the Minister for Public Works has laid before the Governor a memorial and map, signed and certified as required by the said Act, containing an accurate description of the said land:

Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by section eleven of “The Public Works Act, 1882,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of a railway; and that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the land so described shall become absolutely vested in fee-simple in Her Majesty, discharged from all mortgages, charges, claims, estates, or interests of what kind soever.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that piece or parcel of land situate in the Township of Foxton, Mount Robinson Survey District, Provincial District of Wellington, containing by admeasurement 45 acres 2 roods 12 perches, more or less, being portions of Sections Nos. 477 and 410, in the Township of Foxton. Bounded on the East for a distance of 9053 links by the public road forming the eastern boundaries of said Sections Nos. 477 and 410; Northerly by the northern boundary of Section No. 447, 522 links; Westerly by a line of 9177 links distant 500 links from and parallel to the eastern boundary of Sections Nos. 477 and 410; Southerly, 501 links, by the southern boundary of Section No. 410: as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 11054, deposited in the office of the Minister for Public Works, at Wellington, in the Provincial District of Wellington.

Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir William Francis Drummond Jervois, Lieutenant-General in Her Majesty’s Army, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Companion of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this seventeenth day of June, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty-four.

Land taken for a Road in the Parish of Waiwera, Provincial District of Auckland.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, under “The Public Works Act, 1882,” for a certain work, to wit, the construction of a road in the Parish of Waiwera, Provincial District of Auckland:

And whereas the Minister for Public Works has laid before the Governor the memorial, accompanied by a map, as required by the said Act:

Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by section eleven of “The Public Works Act, 1882,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of a road; and that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the land so described shall become absolutely vested in fee-simple in Her Majesty, discharged from all mortgages, charges, claims, estates, or interests of what kind soever, for use as a road.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that parcel of land containing by admeasurement 3 roods 38 perches, being a road-line 100 links wide traversing the north-western portion of Lot No. 161, commencing at a point on the western boundary of the said Lot No. 161 at a distance of 514 links from its north-western angle. Bounded —North-westerly by lines, 192, 338, 75, 266, and 60 links respectively; North-easterly by the Orewa River, 100 links; South-easterly by lines, 95, 273, 40, 362, and 270 links respectively; Westerly by a line, 114 links, to the commencing point: the said parcel of land being situate in the Parish of Waiwera, Whangaparaoa Road District, Provincial District of Auckland, and being more particularly delineated upon the plan marked P.W.D. 11287A, deposited in the office of the Minister for Public Works, at Wellington, in the Provincial District of Wellington.

Districts constituted under “The Registration of Births and Deaths Act, 1875.”

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in the Governor by “The Registration of Births and Deaths Act, 1875,” I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby abolish the existing registration districts known as the Winton and Gore Districts; and do proclaim and declare that the territory heretofore comprised within the said districts is hereby divided anew into three registration districts, the names whereof shall be the Lumsden, Winton, and Gore Districts, and the boundaries whereof shall be coterminous with the boundaries of the marriage districts bearing the same names as are set forth in a Proclamation of even date herewith, made under the provisions of “The Marriage Act, 1880.”

And I hereby declare that this Proclamation shall come into operation on the sixteenth day of July, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty-four.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in the Governor by “The Marriage Act, 1880,” I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby abolish the existing marriage districts known as the Winton and Gore Districts, and do proclaim and declare that the territory heretofore comprised within the said districts is hereby divided anew into three marriage districts, the names and boundaries whereof shall be as follow:—

LUMSDEN DISTRICT.

Bounded towards the North-east and East by the Mataura River from its source to a point in line with the southern boundary of Section No. 511, Hokonui Survey District; thence towards the South generally by the Hokonui Riding of the County of Southland, as described by special order in the New Zealand Gazette No. 88, 31st August, 1883, to the
