And whereas all conditions precedent required by law to be
observed and performed prior to the taking of such land in
the manner hereby provided have been observed and per-
formed:
Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois,
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of
the powers and authorities conferred by section one hundred
and thirty of “The Public Works Act, 1882,” and of every
other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that
behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land de-
scribed in the Schedule hereto is taken for the further por-
tion of the said line of railway hereinbefore specified.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasure-
ment 1 acre 3 roods 26 perches, situate in the Survey
District of Carlyle, Provincial District of Taranaki, being
portion of Section No. 107, Patea District, commencing at a
point 570 links from the north-west corner of Section
No. 107, on a bearing of 203° 3'. Bounded—North-easterly
by a line, 912 links; South-easterly by a line, 250 links;
South-westerly by a line, 250 links; North-westerly by a
line, 50 links; South-westerly by a line, 627 links; North-
easterly by a public road to commencing point, 203 links: be
all the above areas and linkages either more or less; as the
same is more particularly delineated upon the plan marked
P.W.D. 10864, deposited in the office of the Minister for
Public Works at Wellington.

in Her Majesty's Army, Knight Grand Cross of
the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael
and Saint George, Companion of the Most Honour-
able Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-

Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral
of the same; and issued under the Seal of the
said Colony, at the Government House, at Wel-
ington, this eleventh day of June, in the year of
our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty-

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto
is vested in a certain aboriginal native of New Zea-
land, subject to certain restrictions on the alienation of such
land, and application has been made for the removal of such
restrictions:
It is hereby notified that it is the intention of His Excel-
lency the Governor, immediately after the expiration of sixty
days from the publication of this notice in the Gazette and
in the Kahiti, to remove the said restrictions on the aliena-
tion of the said land.
Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir William

in Her Majesty's Army, Knight Grand Cross of
the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael
and Saint George, Companion of the Most Honour-
able Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-

the block called Te Korokoro South. Bounded on the East
by Native land, 252 links; on the South by Native land, 406
links; on the North-west by other part of the said block,
224·5 links; and towards the North-east by portion of the
block called Te Korokoro North, 321·5 links.
All that parcel of land containing 1 acre 1 rood 16 perches,
more or less, situated in the County of Hutt, and being
portion of the block called Te Korokoro North. Bounded
towards the East by Native land, 806 links; towards the
South-west by portion of the block called Te Korokoro South,
321·5 links; towards the North-west and West by other
portions of the same block, Te Korokoro North, 694·1 links
and 40 links; and towards the North by a stream, 60 links.
Certain portions of land, forming together all that piece of
