Extending Time for preparing County Rolls, County of Hawera.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this fourth day of June, 1884.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS it has been made to appear that certain things required to be done by “The Counties Act, 1876,” in connection with the making and revision of the county roll of the County of Hawera cannot be done by or within the times required by the said Act:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in him by the said “Counties Act, 1876,” and by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby extend the times for doing the said things in connection with the county roll of the said County of Hawera, and doth declare that the time for the doing of such several things shall be those which are specified in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

  1. For the preparation of the county roll: On or before the 16th June, 1884.

  2. Rolls shall be open for inspection: From the 18th June, 1884, to the 2nd July, 1884.

  3. Objections to rolls received: Until the 12th July, 1884.

  4. Day appointed for revision of roll: Some day after the 14th July, 1884, but Revision Court shall not sit after the 28th July, 1884.

  5. Roll shall come into force: On the 1st August, 1884.

Pound and Poundkeeper appointed, Waipipi Road District, County of Manukau.

HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased to approve of the appointment, by the Waipipi Road Board, on the 11th October, 1879, of

HENRY PARKER

as Keeper of the Public Pound in the Waipipi Road District, consisting of Mr. Sedgwick’s yards and paddock, and situated on Lot 151, Waipipi.

Special Order made by Waitotara County Council.—Merging Wanganui-Waitotara Road District.

THE following special order, made by the Waitotara County Council, is published in accordance with “The Counties Act 1876 Amendment Act, 1882.”

SPECIAL ORDER.

THAT, in accordance with the petition of ratepayers presented to this Council, the Wanganui-Waitotara Road Board is hereby declared dissolved on and after the 5th July, 1884, and that such road district is merged in the county, in accordance with “The Counties Act, 1876,” and amendments.

I hereby certify that the special order as above was duly made and passed by the Waitotara County Council on the 2nd June, 1884.

Special Order made by Clutha County Council.—Dissolving Clutha Road Board, &c.

THE following special order, made by the Clutha County Council, is published in accordance with “The Counties Act 1876 Amendment Act, 1882.”

SPECIAL ORDER.

THAT this Council, by special order, dissolve the Clutha Road Board on and after the 18th June, 1884; and that Mr. Robert Huie be appointed Returning Officer for the purpose of carrying out the election of new members of the Board.

I hereby certify that the special order as above was duly made, and was passed by the Clutha County Council on the 30th May, 1884.
