Saturday in January, in every succeeding year thereafter, elect one of themselves to be Chairman, who may join in the discussion, and shall have an original as well as a casting vote. The Chairman shall hold office until the election of his successor.

If at any meeting the Chairman is not present at the time appointed for holding the same, the members present shall choose some one of their number to be Chairman of such meeting.

If, by resignation, death, or incapacity, or otherwise, the office of Chairman shall be or become vacant, the members may at any monthly or special meeting appoint a Chairman.

All questions shall be determined by the majority of votes of the members of the Board present at a meeting.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this sixteenth day of May, 1884.
Present:
THE HONOURABLE THE MINISTER OF LANDS PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
IN exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in him by “The Public Domains Act, 1881,” His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council thereof, doth hereby revoke a certain Order in Council, dated the twenty-sixth day of February, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-four, making delegation of certain powers in manner as therein appears; and doth, with the like advice and consent, by this present order, delegate, but only with respect to the piece or parcel of land described in the Schedule hereto, all the powers conferred by the Act aforesaid, except the powers under or conferred by sections five and twelve thereof, to the under-mentioned persons, who shall be known as the Tinwald Domain Board, namely,—
WILLIAM CAMPBELL WALKER,
EDWARD GEORGE WRIGHT,
JOHN GRIGG,
CHARLES THORNTON DUDLEY, and
MARK SCOTT
(herein referred to as “the Board”), subject to the stipulations hereinafter contained, that is to say,—

The Board shall meet for the transaction of business on the first Tuesday in each month, at half-past two o’clock p.m., at the County Council office, or at such other time or place as may from time to time be fixed by the Board. The first meeting shall be held on Tuesday, the third day of June, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-four.

Special meetings may be convened by the Chairman, or by any two members of the Board, provided that two days’ notice of such meeting be given to each member, specifying the business to be transacted at such special meeting, and no other business than that so specified shall be transacted at such meeting.

Any three of the said Board shall form a quorum. Any meeting may be adjourned from time to time.

SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Canterbury, being portion of Reserve No. 350 (in red), containing by admeasurement 230 acres, more or less. Bounded towards the North-east by Section No. 3936; towards the South-east by Sections Nos. 6022 and 6023, and also by Reserves Nos. 2064 and 2275, and by a road; towards the South-west by Reserve No. 350 (in red); and towards the North-west by the north-west boundary of Reserve No. 350 (in red).

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this thirteenth day of May, 1884.
Present:
THE HONOURABLE THE PREMIER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by an Order in Council dated the tenth day of July, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-seven, the control of the reserve for a recreation-ground described in the Schedule hereto was vested in the County Council of Patea: And whereas, by formal resolution, the said County Council has consented to relinquish the control of the said reserve in order that the same may be brought under the operation of “The Public Domains Act, 1881:”
Now, therefore, His Excellency William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, and also with the concurrence of the said County Council, and in exercise of the powers conferred by the twenty-fourth section of “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” doth order and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby brought under the operation of and shall be henceforth subject to the provisions of “The Public Domains Act, 1881.”
SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Taranaki, containing by admeasurement 69 acres 1 rood 22 perches, more or less, being Section No. 534, situate in the Patea District. Bounded towards the North-east by Sections Nos. 283 and 284; towards the South-east by Section No. 537; towards the South by a road-line; and towards the North-west by Section No. 536.

WHEREAS by the twelfth section of “The Public Domains Act, 1881,” it is, inter alia, enacted that the Governor, by Order in Council, may from time to time delegate all or any of the powers by the said Act conferred, save as is therein mentioned, to any person or persons for any period, and subject to such stipulations as may be specified in such order, and that every such delegation may from time to time in like manner be altered or revoked: And whereas, pursuant to “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” by an Order in Council of even date herewith, the land described in the Schedule thereto is declared to be brought under the operation of and to be subject to the provisions of the said “Public Domains Act, 1881:”
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the Colony of New Zealand, doth, by this present order, delegate all the powers conferred by the Act first above mentioned, except the powers under or conferred by sections five and twelve, to the under-mentioned persons, who shall be known as the Mokoa Domain Board, namely,—
