WAIHEMO COUNTY.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is the intention of the Waihemo County Council, under the “Public Works Act, 1882,” to take certain lands for the purpose of constructing a road, and all persons affected are hereby called upon to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections to the taking of such lands, and to send such writing within forty days from the publication hereof to the Waihemo County Council, at Palmerston; and notice is hereby further given that the plans of such lands are open for inspection at the Waihemo County Offices, Ronaldsay Street, Palmerston; the following being a description of the said lands :—
APPROACH TO BRIDGE NEAR KITCHENER'S.
All that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasurement 1 acre and 18·9 perches, more or less, situate in the Survey District of Dunback, Provincial District of Otago, being portion of Section No. 39, Block IV.; commencing at a point in the southern boundary of Section No. 39 distant from the south-east corner of said section 461·7 links on a bearing of 90°. Bounded towards the East by lines 285 links on a bearing of 216° 45', and 850·8 links on a bearing of 22° 32'; towards the North by a road-line, 125·2 links, on a bearing of 75° 32'; towards the West by lines 762·9 links on a bearing of 22° 32', and 233·6 links on a bearing of 216° 45', and 44·1 links on a bearing of 12° 58'; towards the South by a road-line, 102·6 links, on a bearing of 90°, to commencing point.
Also all that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasurement 3 roods 39·2 perches, more or less, situate in the Survey District of Dunback, Provincial District of Otago, being portion of Sections Nos. 39 and 44, Block IV.; commencing at a point distant from the south-east corner of Section No. 39 1116·3 links on a bearing of 1° 30'. Bounded towards the East by a line, 976 links, on a bearing of 176° 49'; towards the North by the Shag River, 101 links; towards the West by a line, 1004 links, on a bearing of 176° 49'; towards the South by a road-line, 102 links, on a bearing of 75° 32', to commencing point.
Also all that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasurement 1 road 2·6 perches, more or less, situate in the Survey District of Moeraki, Provincial District of Otago, being portion of Section No. 1, Block XV.; commencing at a point in the southern boundary of Section No. 1 distant from the south-east corner of said section 2660 links along bends of Shag River. Bounded towards the East by a line, 240 links, on a bearing of 176° 49'; towards the North by a road-line, 116·6 links, on a bearing of 297° 46'; towards the West by a line, 292 links, on a bearing of 176° 49'; towards the South by the Shag River, 101 links, to commencing point.
TAIERI PEAK ROAD.
All that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasurement 2 acres 1 road 6·3 perches, more or less, situate in the Survey District of Dunback, Provincial District of Otago, being portion of Section No. 5, Block I.; commencing at a point in the south-west boundary of Section No. 5 distant from the south-west corner of said section 369·3 links on a bearing of 335° 20'. Bounded towards the West by lines 939·5 links on a bearing of 170° 33', 602 links on a bearing of 32°, and 437·4 links on a bearing of 133° 8'; towards the North-west by a line, 137 links, on a bearing of 180°; towards the East by lines 613·3 links on a bearing of 133° 8', 646·4 links on a bearing of 32°, and 1269·3 links on a bearing of 170° 33'; towards the South-west by a line, 381 links, on a bearing of 335° 20', to commencing point.
Also all that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasurement 1 road 12·7 perches, more or less, situate in the Survey District of Dunback, Provincial District of Otago, being portion of Section No. 8, Block I.; commencing at a point in the eastern boundary of Section No. 8 distant from the south-west corner of Section No. 5 1400·6 links on a bearing of 180°. Bounded towards the South-west by a line, 362·3 links, on a bearing of 133° 8'; towards the North-west by a road-line, 103·9 links, on a bearing of 207° 26'; towards the North-east by a line, 296·7 links, on a bearing of 133° 8'; towards the South-east by a line, 137 links, on a bearing of 180°, to commencing point.

All that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasurement 2 acres 1·2 perches, more or less, situate in the Survey District of Dunback, Provincial District of Otago, being portion of Section No. 7, Block I.; commencing at a point in the eastern boundary of Section No. 7 distant from the north-east corner of said section 1463·3 links on a bearing of 180°. Bounded towards the North by lines 274 links on a bearing of 82° 13', and 152 links on a bearing of 79° 54'; towards the East by a line, 1096·7 links, on a bearing of 354° 40'; again towards the North and North-east by lines 51·7 links on a bearing of 300° 40', 82·6 links on a bearing of 211° 32', 172·1 links on a bearing of 289° 33', 192·8 links on a bearing of 157° 36', and 166·4 links on a bearing of 300° 40'; towards the South-west by lines 370·4 links on a bearing of 157° 36', and 256·3 links on a bearing of 289° 33'; towards the West by a line, 1062·2 links, on a bearing of 353° 40'; towards the South-east by lines 273·6 links on a bearing of 79° 54', and 269 links on a bearing of 63° 4'; towards the East by a line, 11·3 links, on a bearing of 180°, to commencing point.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Featherston Road Board intend to take the land comprised in a line of road 100 links in width, and commencing at a point on the District Road 1680 links from the north-east corner of Section 77, Moroa Block, and following a northerly course through Section 77 for a distance of 1000 links to the corner of Sections 63 and 81; then taking the boundary of Section 81 as the centre of the road for a distance of 11355 links, and taking 50 links out of Sections 63, 61, 31, and 3; then turning eastward and following the boundary of Section 81 to its junction with the Battersea Road; and taking 50 links out of that section and 50 links out of Sections 10, 83, and 84: the road to be known as Phillips Road.
Also a road 100 links in width, following the northern boundary of Sections 62 and 63 for the centre of the road, and taking 50 links out of Sections 34 and 61 from No. 1 Road-line to Phillips Road, a distance of 8000 links: to be known as Dudding's Road.
As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan of the said proposed roads, which has been deposited at the office of the Board in Featherston, and is now open for public inspection.
