Proclaiming the taking and Laying-off of Roads over Lands
in the Wellington Provincial District.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and in exercise of all powers and authorities
enabling me in this behalf, I, William Francis Drum-
mond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand,
do hereby proclaim that the roads described in the Schedule
hereto have been duly taken and laid off through the lands
specified in warrants of the dates given in the said Schedule.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that road, 100 links wide, the centre of which com-
men ces at a point marked C in the Aratowaka No. 1 Block,
situate in Block XI., Waipakura Survey District, and which
proceeds generally in a north-easterly direction through the
said Aratowaka No. 1 Block and the Parihohou Block
(Blocks VIII., XI., and XII., Waipakura Survey District) to
a point marked D; excepting from the above road all those
portions tinted red, which have already been taken under
warrant dated the 30th March, 1881, Gazette, 1881, Vol. i.,
page 365. Also all that other road, 100 links wide, the centre
of which commences at a point marked A in the Aratowaka
No. 1 Block, situate in Block XI., Waipakura Survey Dis-
trict, and proceeding generally in a north-easterly direction
to a point marked B in the said Aratowaka No. 1 Block,
situate in Block XI., Waipakura Survey District; excepting
from the above road all those portions tinted red, which have
already been taken under warrant dated the 30th March,
1881, Gazette, 1881, Vol. i., page 365. As the same are more
particularly delineated on the plan marked S.O. 883-65
(No. 1), and deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor,
Wellington.
Date of warrant, 22nd November, 1880.
All that road, 100 links wide, the centre of which com-
men ces at a point marked A in the Upokongaro No. 2 Block,
situate in Block XI., Waipakura Survey District, and which
proceeds in a north-easterly and then generally in a north-
we sterly direction through the Upokongaro No. 2, Waimatao,
and into the Poronui Blocks, to a point marked B in the
Poronui Block, Block XI., Waipakura Survey District, taken
under warrants dated the 5th November, 1880, Gazette, 1880,
and the 22nd November, 1880; excepting from the above
road all those portions tinted red, which have already been
taken under warrant dated the 30th March, 1881, Gazette,
1881, Vol. i., page 364: as the same is more particularly
delineated on plan marked S.O. 883-65 (No. 2), and deposited
in the District Survey Office, Wellington.

Aratowaka Nos. 1 and 2, Makua o, and Pukohu Blocks,
Block VIII., Waipakura Survey District, to a point marked
B in the Pukohu Block; excepting from the above road all
those portions tinted red, which have already been taken
under warrant dated the 30th March, 1881, Gazette, 1881,
Vol. i., page 364. Also all that road, 100 links wide, the centre
of which commences at a point marked A in the Aratowaka
No. 1 Block, situate in Block VIII., Waipakura Survey Dis-
trict, and proceeding generally in a north-easterly direc-
tion through the Parihohou Block to a point marked C
on the eastern boundary of the said Parihohou Block,
Block VIII., Waipakura Survey District. As the same is
more particularly delineated on plan marked S.O. 883-50
(No. 3), and deposited in the District Survey Office,
Wellington.
Date of warrant, 22nd November, 1880.
All that road, 100 links wide, known as the Okoa Road,
the centre of which commences at a point marked A in the
Pukohu Block, situate in Block IX., Mangawhero Survey Dis-
trict, and which proceeds generally in a north-easterly direc-
tion through said Pukohu Block to a point marked B. And
all that road, 100 links wide, the centre of which commences
at a point marked C in the Pukohu Block, situate in Block
IX., Mangawhero Survey District, and proceeds generally
in a north-easterly, then in a southerly, and afterwards in a
northerly direction through said Pukohu Block to a point
marked D; excepting from the above road C-D all those
portions tinted red, which have already been taken under
warrant dated the 30th March, 1881, Gazette, 1881, Vol. i., page
364. Also all that road, 100 links wide, the centre of which
commences at a point marked E on the western boundary of
the Taungatutu Block, situate in Block IX., Mangawhero
Survey District, and proceeds generally in a north-easterly
direction through said Taungatutu Block to a point marked
F in Block X.; Mangawhero Survey District. As the same
are all more particularly delineated on plan marked S.O.
883-50 (No. 4), and deposited in the District Survey Office,
Wellington.
Date of warrant, 5th November, 1880.
All that road, 100 links wide, the centre of which com-
men ces at a point marked A on the eastern boundary of the
Taungatutu Block, Block X., Mangawhero Survey District,
and which proceeds generally in an easterly and afterwards
in a northerly direction through the Paratike and Taungatutu
Blocks to a point marked B on the northern boundary of the
last-mentioned block, situate in Block VI., Mangawhero
Survey District; excepting from the above road all that por-
tion being Crown land, and tinted red, in the Paratieke Block:
as the same is more particularly delineated on plan marked
S.O. 883-50 (No. 5), and deposited in the office of the Chief
Surveyor, Wellington.
Date of warrant, 5th November, 1880.
All that road, 50 links wide, the centre of which commences
at a point marked C near the south-western corner of Natarua
No. 4 Block, situate in Block V., Ikitara Survey District, and
which proceeds generally in an easterly direction through
Natarua Blocks Nos. 4, 6, and 3 to a point marked D on the
eastern boundary of Natarua No. 3 Block. Also all that road,
50 links wide, the centre of which commences at a point
marked E on the eastern boundary of Natarua No. 1 Block,
situate in Block V., Ikitara Survey District, and which pro-
ceeds in an easterly direction through Natarua No. 7 Block to
a point marked F on the eastern boundary of said Natarua No.
7 Block. Also all that road, 50 links wide, the centre of which
commences at a point marked C near the north-eastern angle
of Waitahanui No. 1 Block, situate in Block V., Ikitara Sur-
vey District, and proceeding in a south-westerly direction
through Waitahanui Nos. 2, 8, and 4 Blocks to a point
marked H on the Great North-western Road. Also all that
road, 100 links wide, going through portions of the Ngongohau
Nos. 1, 5, 4, and 2 Blocks, and Paranuimata Nos. 2 and 3
Blocks, Block V., Ikitara Survey District, the centre of which
commences at a point marked A, and proceeds generally in a
north-easterly direction to a a point marked B. As the same
are all more particularly delineated on plan marked S.O.
605-329, and deposited in the District Survey Office, Wel-
ington.

All that road, 100 links wide, the centre of which com-
men ces at a point marked A on the southern boundary of the
Kokomiko Block, situate in Block XIII., Mangawhero Survey
District, and which proceeds generally in a north-westerly
direction to a point marked D in the Kaikai-Ohakuna Block.
Also all that road, 100 links wide, the centre of which com-
men ces at a point marked B in the Tokomiko Block, situate
in Block XIII., Mangawhero Survey District, and proceeding
generally in an easterly direction through the Kaikai-
Ohakuna Block to a point marked C on the boundary be-
tween Kaikai-Ohakuna and Mangawhero East Blocks. As
the same are more particularly delineated on plan marked
S.O. 605-203, and deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor,
Wellington.
Date of warrant, 5th November, 1880.
All that road, 100 links wide, the centre of which com-
men ces at a point marked A in the Pohuehue Block, situate in
Block IX., Mangawhero Survey District, and which proceeds
generally in a north-easterly and northerly direction through
the Pohuehue, Pikopiko No. 3, and Pukohu Blocks to a point
marked C in the Pukohu Block where it joins the main road;
as the same is more particularly delineated on plan marked
S.O. 925-24, and deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor,
Wellington.
Date of warrants, 5th and 22nd November, 1880.
All that road, 100 links wide, the centre of which com-
men ces at a point marked A in the Kaikai-Ohakuna Block,
situate in Block XIII., Mangawhero Survey District, and
which proceeds generally in a northerly and north-westerly di-
rection through the Kaikai-Ohakuna Block to a point marked
B; thence from a point marked C in the Te Maire Block,
and proceeding generally in a northerly and north-westerly
direction through the Te Maire, Pikopiko No. 3, and Pohue-
hue Blocks, situate in Blocks IX. and XIII., Mangawhero
Survey District, to a point marked D in the Pohuehue Block;
thence proceeding generally in a northerly and north-
westerly direction through the Pohuehue Block to a point
marked E. Also all that road, 100 links wide, known as the
Te Rimu Road, the centre of which commences at a point
marked D in the Pohuehue Block, situate in Block IX., Manga-
whero Survey District, and which proceeds generally in a
south-easterly, then in a north-easterly, and afterwards in a
north-westerly direction through the Pohuehue Block to a
point marked F in said block. As the same are more par-
ticularly delineated on the plan marked S.O. 925-27 (P.W.
131), and deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Wel-
ington.
