Special Order, Wallace County Council.—Altering Boundaries of Mararoa Riding.

THE following special order, made by the Wallace County Council, is published in accordance with “The Counties Act 1876 Amendment Act, 1882.”

SPECIAL ORDER.

WHEREAS by Proclamation of date 25th January, 1884, a portion of the Oreti Riding of the County of Southland was added to the County of Wallace: And whereas it is expedient that the said portion thus added to the County of Wallace form part of the Mararoa Riding of the said County of Wallace, and that the boundaries of said riding be altered accordingly: Therefore, this Council, by special order, alters the boundaries of the Mararoa Riding, and defines them as described in the Schedule hereto, as and from the 1st day of February, 1884.


Schedule.

Bounded towards the North and East by the Lake County from Cloudy Pass (Bligh Sound) to Hummock Peak; thence on the South by a right line due west to the middle of the Oreti River; towards the East by a line along the middle of said Oreti River to a point in a line with the south boundary of Section No. 18, Taringatura District; towards the South by a right line due west to the south-east angle of Section No. 186, Taringatura District; again towards the West, South, and South-west by the Wairo and Waiau Ridings of said county; towards the West by Fiord County and the ocean to commencing point.
