THE following by-law, made by the Howick Township Road Board, is published in accordance with “The Road Boards Act, 1882.”
THOMAS DICK.
BY-LAW.
THE owner of any horse, sheep, swine, goat, or any other beast or cattle of any kind which shall, at any time after this by-law shall come into operation, be found depasturing in or upon any fenced or formed road, or the sides or any ditch or bank thereof, after the hours of sunset or before the hour of sunrise, within the limits of the Howick Township Road District, whether under the tendance or control of any person or not, shall be liable to a fine for each or any animal so depasturing of not more than 10s.: Provided always that the amount of such penalty shall not exceed £2, to be recovered in a summary manner.
I hereby certify that the by-law made by the Howick Township Road Board on the 2nd day of April, 1884, for the purpose of inflicting fines upon owners of cattle straying on the public roads in the Howick District, was made by special order duly passed, as required by sections 75 and 76 of “The Road Boards Act, 1882.”

THE following by-law, made by the Pukekohe West Road Board, is published in accordance with “The Road Boards Act, 1882.”

BY-LAW.

I certify that the above by-law has been duly made by special order as by law required.

THE following special orders, made by the Patea County Council, under “The Road Boards Act, 1882,” are published in accordance with “The Counties Act 1876 Amendment Act, 1882.”

SPECIAL ORDERS.
I, THE undersigned, Clerk of the Patea County Council, hereby certify that the following special order was duly passed by the said Council at their meeting held on the 3rd April last, and that the requirements of the Act have been duly complied with.
That the Kohi Road District be proclaimed a new road district; number of members, five.

Boundaries of the Kohi Road District.
Bounded on the East by the Okutuku Road District from a point on the Kohi Stream where it is intersected by the boundary-line between the Provincial Districts of Wellington and Taranaki; thence following down the Kohi Stream to its junction with Mangatangi; thence following up the Mangatangi to the bridge at the mill; thence by the mill-road to the northern boundary of the Waverley Town Belt; thence by the northern and western boundaries of the said township to the main road; thence by the main road to the junction of the Karahaki Road (by the south-east corner of Section No. 154); thence by the centre of the Karahaki Road to the western boundary of Section No. 163; thence by the western boundaries of Sections Nos. 163, 171, 174, 176, 200, and 201 to the Karahaki Stream; thence by that stream to the provincial district boundary-line; thence by the said line to the commencing point (crossing all intervening public roads).
