NOTICE is hereby given that I, WILLIAM ARTHUR GOOSE STAINON (lately called by the name of William Arthur Goose), late of Soberton, in the County of Hampshire, and now residing at Kaikora, in the Provincial District of Hawke’s Bay and Colony of New Zealand, Farmer, have assumed the name of William Arthur Goose Stainton in lieu and substitution of the name of William Arthur Goose; and that I now do, and at all times hereafter will, in all deeds, writings, dealings, transactions, and documents, and in all legal and other proceedings, affairs, occasions, and matters whatsoever, use the name of William Arthur Goose Stainton as and for my name, in lieu and substitution of the aforesaid name of William Arthur Goose, as testified by deed-poll under the hand and seal of my lawful attorney, dated the fourteenth day of December, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-three, and enrolled in the High Court of Justice, Chancery Division, at the Royal Courts of Justice, Strand, London, W.C., England.

NOTICE OF SPECIAL RESOLUTION.
NOTICE is hereby given that Mr. J. G. Ruddenklau has given notice that he will move the following resolution at the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders, to be held at the rooms of the Agricultural and Pastoral Association, Hereford Street, Christchurch, on Saturday, 26th April, 1884: That the company be voluntarily wound up, and that Mr. Frederick Waymouth be appointed Liquidator, at such remuneration as may be fixed by the shareholders.

THE Peninsula Road Board hereby give notice that, under the provisions of “The Public Works Act, 1882,” they propose to take the land hereinafter described for the purpose of a public road. A plan showing the said proposed road is now deposited for inspection at the office of the said Board, situate at the Schoolhouse, Highcliff, Otago Peninsula.
Objections to the taking of such land must be sent in writing to the undersigned within forty days from this date.
Description of the land proposed to be taken: Parts of Sections 23 and 24, Block III., Otago Peninsula District, the property of Archibald McKay, containing 3 roods 25 poles, more or less, commencing at the east end of the road deviation through Section 25, same block (known as McTainsh’s Road), and passing through said Sections 23 and 24, 1575 links, to a point on the main Sandymount road five chains distant from the north-east corner of said Section 24.

PUKEKURA ROAD DISTRICT.
IN accordance with the provisions of “The Public Works Act, 1882,” notice is hereby given that it is the intention of the Pukekura Road Board to take the following parcels of land for public roads:—
No. 1. Containing 8 acres and 33 perches, being portion of Lot 352, Parish of Te Rapa.
No. 2. Containing 1 acre 3 roods 31 perches, being portion of Lot 356, Parish of Te Rapa.
No. 3. Containing 4 acres 3 roods 27 perches, being portion of Lots 79, 78, and 82, Parish of Pukekura.
No. 4. Containing 5 acres 1 rood 16 perches, being portion of Lots 12, 13, 229, and 228, Parish of Pukekura.
All the said lands being situate in the Survey District of Hamilton, Provincial District of Auckland.
Plans and full particulars of the aforesaid lands can be seen at the office of Mr. H. Fitzgerald, Pukerimu.
All persons affected by the taking of these lands, or by the execution of the proposed roads, having any well-grounded objections, shall set forth the same in writing, and send such writing to the Chairman of the Board within forty days of this date.

In the matter of a Bill to be intituled “An Act to confer Powers upon the Perpetual Trustees Estate and Agency Company of New Zealand (Limited).”
NOTICE is hereby given that application is intended to be made to the General Assembly of New Zealand, at the ensuing session thereof, for leave to bring in a Bill to be intituled “An Act to confer Powers upon the Perpetual Trustees Estate and Agency Company of New Zealand (Limited),” and that the objects of such Bill will be to enable the Perpetual Trustees Estate and Agency Company of New Zealand (Limited), being a company duly incorporated at Dunedin, in the Colony of New Zealand, under “The Companies Act, 1882,” to act as liquidator under any law in force or hereafter to be in force in the said colony relating to joint-stock companies and mining companies, as executor, as administrator with the will annexed, as trustee under any will or deed, as receiver, as committee of the estate under any law now in force or hereafter to be in force in the said colony relating to lunatics, as liquidator, supervisor, assignee, or trustee of any bankrupt or insolvent estate, under any law now in force or hereafter to be in force in the said colony relating to bankruptcy or insolvent debtors, as agent under power of attorney, and to perform and discharge all the duties of such offices, and to receive remuneration for such duties; and to confer upon the said company all powers and privileges necessary to enable it the more effectively and usefully to carry out the objects sought in its incorporation. And notice is hereby given that copies of the said bill will be deposited in the Examiner’s Office within fourteen days after the commencement of the said session.
