IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the sixth section of “The Cemeteries Act, 1882,” I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint

ROBERT SUTHERLAND
to be Trustees, in the place of William Ayson, resigned, to provide for the maintenance and care of the Warepa Cemetery, in conjunction with the other persons appointed by warrant under the hand of His Excellency the Administrator of the Government on the eighth day of October, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-one.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this fourteenth day of April, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-four.

Application for Registration of a Trade Mark.

NOTICE is hereby given that Messrs. SIEVWRIGHT, STOUT, AND COMPANY, of Dunedin, in the Colony of New Zealand, Solicitors, have applied, on behalf of MAX MENDERSHAUSEN, of Dunedin, in the said colony, Tobacconist, to register, under “The Trade Marks Act, 1866,” the trade mark of which the following is a description, viz.:—
Description of Trade Mark.
A label, consisting of a circular plate, the upper portion of the centre being shaded with parallel lines, on which are shown a few stalks and star-like flowers, the lower portion of the centre being divided into squares, the alternate spaces being shaded with either single or double crossed lines, upon which lies some open ornament; the whole surrounded by a border divided into a series of triangles, from the bottom of which proceed two lappets forming a large triangle, within which is the letter M in white on a coloured ground within a circle. In the centre of the plate, and printed thereon, is the word “Fragrant,” also a tablet with the word “Ruby” in white letters on a coloured ground, the whole being printed in various colours on papers of different tints.
Nature of the Article to which it is intended such Trade Mark shall apply.
