THE HONOURABLE THE PREMIER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by “The Public Reserves Sale Act, 1878,” it is, amongst other things, enacted that the lands described in the Schedule thereto may, at any time after the passing of the said Act, be sold by the Governor, upon such terms as shall be regulated by Order in Council:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise of the powers and authorities aforesaid, doth hereby order and direct that the land described in the Schedule hereto, being portion of the lands described in the Schedule to “The Public Reserves Sale Act, 1878,” aforesaid, shall be sold by public auction, after three months’ notice of the day of sale has been given, in pursuance of the one hundred and fifty-third section of “The Land Act, 1877,” as land of special value, in lots at the upset prices set opposite to each.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this nineteenth day of March, 1884.

THE HONOURABLE THE PREMIER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS it has been made to appear to the Governor, by statutory declaration of the Mayor of West Harbour, that all the valuation lists, valuation rolls, rate-books, roll-books, and other documents evidencing the making or levying of a rate within the Borough of West Harbour for the year one thousand eight hundred and eighty-two were destroyed by fire, and that no effectual evidence can be obtained for making good such destruction, and it is expedient to make provision for such case:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in him by “The Rating Act 1882 Amendment Act, 1883,” and of all other powers and authorities in anywise enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby order and direct that the Valuer of the Borough Council of the Borough of West Harbour shall forthwith prepare a valuation list of all rateable property within the said borough in the manner prescribed by “The Rating Act, 1876,” and the Acts amending the same, and shall transmit such list to the said Borough Council on or before the nineteenth day of March, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-four; and such Valuer shall give notice to every person whose name appears in such list of any valuation made of the property of such person in the form contained in the Third Schedule to “The Rating Act, 1876.” The said list shall be open for inspection and objections may be made thereto until the thirty-first day of March, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-four; and the Clerk for the time being of the said Borough Council shall publicly notify that such list is open for inspection and making objections thereto, and shall deposit such list at some convenient place within the said borough, and shall immediately thereafter advertise in some newspaper circulating within the borough the fact and place of such deposit, and the time during which the objections aforesaid may be made.
