Land taken for a Road in Waimea Road District, Provincial District of Nelson.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, under "The Public Works Act, 1882," for a certain work, to wit, the construction of a road in the Waimea Road District, Provincial District of Nelson:
And whereas the Waimea Road Board has laid before the Governor the memorial and map mentioned in, and signed and certified as required by, the said Act:
Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by section eleven of "The Public Works Act, 1882," and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of a road; and that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the land so described shall become absolutely vested in fee-simple in Her Majesty, discharged from all mortgages, charges, claims, estates, or interests of what kind soever, for use as a road.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasurement 1 rood 24 perches, being part of Section No. X in the Waimea South District, commencing at a point on the south-eastern boundary of road to Nelson about 230 links distant from the eastern bank of the Wai-iti River. Bounded as follows: Westerly by a line, 655 links; South-easterly by land acquired for railway purposes, 62 links; Easterly by a line, 687 links; North-westerly by public road aforesaid to commencing point, 76 links.
Also all that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasurement 11 perches, being part of Section No. X in the Waimea South District, commencing at a point on the south-eastern boundary of land acquired for railway about 140 links from the eastern bank of the Wai-iti River. Bounded as follows: Westerly by a line, 105 links; Southerly by a creek, 61 links; Easterly by a line, 125 links; North-westerly by railway land aforesaid, 61 links, to commencing point.
Be all the above areas and linkages either more or less; and the several parcels of land being situate in the Wai-iti Survey District, Provincial District of Nelson, and all more parti-
cularly delineated upon the plan attached to the memorial above referred to.
Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir William Francis Drummond Jervois, Lieutenant-General in Her Majesty's Army, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Companion of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-eighth day of December, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty-three.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and in exercise of all powers and authorities enabling me in this behalf, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim that the roads described in the Schedule hereto have been duly taken and laid off through the lands specified in a warrant of the date given in the said Schedule.

Section No. 20, Square 5.
ALL that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasurement 1 acre 3 roods 30 perches, be the same more or less, situate in the Land District of Nelson, part of Section No. 20, Square 5, Tadmor Survey District, being a road-line 75 links wide, the eastern side of which commences at a point on the north-western boundary distant from northern corner of said Section No. 20 2068 links, and extends South-easterly by lines, 2594 links, to a point on south-eastern boundary distant from eastern corner of said Section No. 20
ERRATUM.โIn New Zealand Gazette No. 122, of the 22nd November, 1883, page 1664, under head of "Volunteer Officers appointed and promoted," for "Sub-Lieutenant William Topliss" read "Sub-Lieutenant Philip Topliss to be Lieutenant in H Battery of Artillery."
