Proclaiming the Taking and Laying-off of Roads over Lands
in the Wellington Provincial District.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and in exercise of all powers and authorities
enabling me in this behalf, I, William Francis Drum-
mond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand,
do hereby proclaim that the roads described in the Schedule
hereto have been duly taken and laid off through the lands
specified in warrants of the dates given in the said Schedule.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that road, 100 links wide, the middle of which com-
mences at a point marked E at the centre of the road, at the
north-eastern corner of Section No. 17, Moroa Block; thence
in a south-easterly direction through Kaitara and Uruo-
kakiti Native Blocks, in Blocks I. and II., Huangarua Survey
District, to a point marked F on the western boundary of
Section No. 18, Moroa Block: as the same is more particu-
larly shown on Plan S.O. 1²³⁴, Sheet No. 2, deposited in the
District Survey Office, Wellington.
Date of warrant, 17th February, 1883.
All that road, 100 links wide, the middle of which com-
mences at a point marked A on the north-western boundary of
Section No. 78, Block XIV., Wangaehu Survey District, which
point is situate 2000 links or thereabouts from the south-
western corner of the said section; thence in a south-easterly
direction through said Section No. 78 to a point marked B
near the north-west corner of Section No. 53: as the same is
more particularly shown on Plan S.O. ²¹³, deposited in the
District Survey Office, Wellington.
Date of warrant, 11th October, 1882.
All that road, 100 links wide, the centre of which commences
at a point marked A near the southernmost corner of Sub-
division A, Karaka Native Block; thence northerly and
easterly through Subdivisions A, B, and C of same block to
the western boundary of Section No. 26; thence through
said Section No. 26 and Section No. 52 to the north-east
corner of said Section No. 52, at a point marked B, the whole
line of road as described above being situate in Block XIII.,
Wairoa Survey District, excepting that portion tinted pink
in Section No. 3: as the same is more particularly delineated
on Plan S.O. ⁶⁰⁵, deposited in the District Survey Office,
Wellington.
Date of warrant, 5th November, 1880.
All that road, 100 links wide, the middle of which com-
mences at a point marked A on the south-eastern boundary
of Greytown Town Belt, in the Borough of Greytown, situate
in Block XIII., Tiffen Survey District, said point being dis-
tant 8504 links or thereabouts from south-east corner of
said Town Belt; thence on a bearing of 130° through
Tahorahina Native Block to a point marked B on the eastern
boundary of said Native block, the said point being situate
2215 links from north-east corner of said Tahorahina Native
Block: as the same is more particularly shown on Plan No. 1,
S.O. 1²³⁴, deposited in the District Survey Office, Wellington.
Date of warrant, 17th February, 1883.
All that road, 100 links wide, the middle of which com-
mences at a point marked D on the south-eastern boundary
of the Greytown Town Belt, which point is situate 2378 links
from the south-eastern boundary of said Town Belt; thence
in a south-easterly direction through Tahorahina Native
Block to a point marked C at the south-west corner of Sub-
division A of Purakau Native Block; thence on a bearing of
107° 29' to a point marked E distant 1412 links from last
point; thence southerly through the Papawai and Powhatu
Native Blocks to a point marked G, as more particularly
shown on Spotting Sheet No. 1, S.O. 1²³⁴; thence in a
southerly direction to points marked B and D through
Powhatu West, Uruokakiti, and Kaitara Native Blocks, in
Block XIV., Tiffen Survey District, and in Blocks
I. and XI., Huangarua Survey District, as shown on
Spotting Sheet No. 2, S.O. 1²³⁴; thence in a southerly
direction through said Uruokakiti Native Blocks, in Blocks
I. and V., Huangarua Survey District, to points marked
B and D on Spotting Sheet No. 3, which latter point D is
situate on the north-eastern boundary-line of Section No. 36,
Moroa Block, and distant from the north-eastern corner of
said Section No. 36 1594 links or thereabouts: as the same
is more particularly shown on Spotting Sheet No. 3, S.O.
1²³⁴, deposited in the District Survey Office, Wellington.
