A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by the second section of “The Land Act 1877 Amendment Act, 1882,” it is enacted that the Governor, by Proclamation in the Gazette, may from time to time set apart out of any rural lands such blocks or allotments of land as he shall think fit, and set the same aside for leasing, and in such Proclamation may fix a day on which the land shall be open for application, and may also from time to time alter, amend, or revoke any such Proclamation:
And whereas the land specified in the Schedule hereto was, with other lands, by Proclamation dated the second day of April, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-three, proclaimed as set apart for leasing:
And whereas it is expedient to withdraw the said land from the perpetual-lease system:
Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by the above-named Act, do hereby revoke the Proclamation above referred to, so far as it relates to the section therein mentioned and included in the Schedule hereto, and do proclaim and declare that the said section is hereby withdrawn from the operation of the perpetual-lease system.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is vested in a certain aboriginal native of New Zealand, subject to certain restrictions on the alienation of such land, and application has been made for the removal of such restrictions:
It is hereby notified that it is the intention of His Excellency the Governor, immediately after the expiration of sixty days from the publication of this notice in the Gazette and in the Kahiti, to remove the said restrictions on the alienation of the said land.

ALL that piece of land situated in the Provincial District of Auckland, containing 5 acres and 34 perches, more or less, being Allotment No. 283 of the Parish of Waiotahi, in the Whakatane Survey District, and being the whole of the land described in Vol. xviii., folio 227, of the Register-book.
