THE CLIFTONVALE IMPROVEMENT COMPANY (LIMITED).

NOTICE is hereby given that, in pursuance of section 202 of “The Companies Act, 1882,” a general meeting of the members of the above-named company will be held at the schoolhouse, Clifton, on Thursday, the 15th day of May, 1884, at 8 o’clock in the evening, for the purpose of having an account laid before them showing the manner in which the winding-up has been conducted and the property of the company disposed of, and of hearing any explanation that may be given by the Liquidator, and also of determining by extraordinary resolution the manner in which the books, accounts, and documents of the company and of the Liquidator thereof shall be disposed of.

THIS is to notify that, by special resolution unanimously passed at an adjourned extraordinary meeting of shareholders of Matheson Brothers and Company (Limited), called for the purpose and duly constituted and held at the company’s office, Dowling Street, Dunedin, on Friday, the 8th day of February, 1884, at 4 o’clock in the afternoon, and unanimously confirmed at an extraordinary meeting of shareholders called for the purpose and duly constituted and held at the same place on Saturday, the 23rd day of February, 1884, at 10 o’clock in the forenoon, it was resolved that the company be wound up voluntarily.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership existing between ANDREW MCLAURIN and JOSEPH AUGUSTUS SKEVINGTON, under the style of “McLaurin and Skevington,” Sawmillers, at Kaikoura, in the Colony of New Zealand, was dissolved by mutual consent on the 1st day of January, 1884.

THE WELLINGTON AND MANAWATU RAILWAY COMPANY (LIMITED).

NOTICE is hereby given that the Wellington and Manawatu Railway Company (Limited) are constructing a railway under “The Land and Railways Construction Act, 1881,” and have, in terms of the 18th clause of the said Act, deposited for public inspection in the Public Works Office and the office of the company, in Wellington, and in the Post Office, Pahautanui, a plan setting forth the middle line and direction of the railway, and a book of reference showing the lands required to be taken for the portion of the railway, commencing at a point marked 21 miles 58 chains, Section No. 3, Pukerua, and terminating at a point marked 26 miles 20 chains, Section 10, Paikakariki, and the names of the owners and occupiers of such lands as far as can be ascertained.
