IT is hereby notified that His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to pronounce the under-mentioned gold-mining leases cancelled, and that the ground is now open for application as if no lease of the said ground had ever been applied for:—

Gold-Mining Lease to be granted.
IN conformity with the thirty-seventh section of “The Mines Act, 1877,” and with the regulations made under that Act for the granting of leases for gold-mining purposes, it is hereby notified that it is intended to grant a lease of Crown lands for gold-mining purposes to the applicant specified in the annexed Schedule, unless there shall be valid objections against such lease.
Objections to the granting of such lease, stating the grounds of objection, must be made in writing, and lodged with the Warden at Naseby on or before the 26th day of February, 1884.
Copy of the application made and plan annexed may be seen at the Warden’s Office at Naseby.
SCHEDULE.
APPLICANT: John Francis Christian. Style under which it is intended to conduct the business: “Peninsula Sluicing Company.” 6 acres, in the Mount Ida Mining District.
