All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Taranaki, containing by admeasurement 1 acre, more or less, being Sections Nos. 4, 5, 6, and 7, Block XXI., in the Town of Manaia. Bounded towards the North by Riemenschneider Street, 448 links; towards the East by Section No. 8, 224 links; towards the South by Sections Nos. 14, 15, 16, and 17, 448 links; and towards the West by Section No. 9, 224 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For a site for a pound.
CANTERBURY.
All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Canterbury, containing by admeasurement 20 acres, more or less, being Section No. 2648 (in red), situate in the Ashburton Survey District. Bounded towards the North-east by Section No. 1030 (in red), 828·3 links; towards the North-west by Section No. 26522, 2948·2 links; towards the South-west by Lot No. 4, subdivision of Reserve No. 1769 (in red), 535·4 links; and towards the South-east by the Main South Road, 2933·6 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the District Survey Office, Christchurch. OTAGO.
All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Otago, containing by admeasurement 3 acres 3 roods 13 perches, more or less, situate in the Waipahi District, and being Section No. 22 of Block IV. of said district. Bounded towards the North-west by Section No. 21 of same block, 301 links; towards the North by a road-line, 840 links; towards the North-east by part of Section No. 19 of same block, 776 links; towards the South-east by a creek and railway reserve, 800 links; and towards the South-west by railway reserve, 1470 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Otago, containing by admeasurement 52 acres, more or less, situate in the Waikawa District, and being Section No. 38 of Block I. of said district. Bounded towards the North by the Waikawa River, 4600 links; towards the East by Crown lands, 2650 links; and towards the South-west by the Pacific Ocean, 4700 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For site for a lighthouse and customhouse.
All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Otago, containing by admeasurement 14 acres, more or less; situate in the Town of Lawrence, and being Sections Nos. 1 to 20 respectively, Block XVI., 1 to 7, and 20, Block XVII., 1 to 6, 17, and 18, Block XXXIV., and 1 to 20, Block XXXV., of said town. Bounded towards the North by Section No. 91 of same block, 1559 links; towards the North-east by a road-line, 2461 links; towards the South by Section No. 17 of same block, 280 links; towards the South-east by Sections Nos. 1, 3, and 2 respectively of same block, 3154 links; towards the East by said Section No. 17, 347 links; and towards the West by said Section No. 17 271 links, also by Crown lands 3161 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. Vesting Reserves in the Town of Stratford.

WHEREAS by section thirty-eight of “The Land Act 1877 Amendment Act, 1884,” it is provided that the reserves to be made for any borough or town district under such section shall be made only in cases where no such reserves for the purpose of sections three, five, and six of “The Plans of Towns Regulation Act, 1875,” exist therein, or, if existing, do not equal or exceed the amount of reserves authorized to be made under such last-mentioned Act: And whereas the existing reserves for the Town of Stratford do not equal the amount of reserves authorized to be made under “The Plans of Towns Regulation Act, 1875,” and it appears expedient to make the reserves hereinafter mentioned:
Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon me by the thirty-seventh and thirty-eighth sections of “The Land Act 1877 Amendment Act, 1884,” and of all other powers enabling me in this behalf, do hereby declare that the lands enumerated in the first column of the Schedule hereto shall be and the same are hereby reserved for the purposes respectively stated opposite to the descriptions of such land in the second column hereto, for the benefit of the Town of Stratford, as constituted under the provisions of “The Town Districts Act, 1881,” on the tenth day of January, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-three.

WHEREAS by “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” it is, amongst other things, enacted that the Governor may declare his intention to make, change, exchange, or alter the dedication of any public reserve now or hereafter vested in Her Majesty or the Governor for any of the purposes named in Class II. of the Schedule to the said Act, whether the same be granted or not; and, in the case of any reserves made under the authority of section one hundred and forty-four of “The Land Act, 1877,” if it shall, in the opinion of the Governor, be expedient to change the purpose of such reserves or any part thereof from the purpose or pre-
