All that piece or parcel of land in the Provincial District of Hawke's Bay, containing by admeasurement 2 roods, more or less, situate in the Takapau Survey District, and being Section No. 7, Block VI., Village of Norsewood. Bounded on the North-east by Odin Street, 275 links; on the South-east by Section No. 6, 181·8 links; on the South-west by Section No. 5, 275 links; and on the North-west by Section No. 6, Block I., Village of Norsewood, 181·8 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. To be a reserve for primary education.

All that piece or parcel of land in the Provincial District of Hawke's Bay, containing by admeasurement 1 acre and 23 perches, more or less, situate in the Takapau Survey District, being Section No. 2A, Block X., Village of Norsewood. Bounded on the South-east by Section No. 4, 355 links; on the South-west by Adolphus Street, 373·6 links; on the North-west and North-east generally by a public road, lines 141·5, 305, 58·9, 147·5, 135·6, and 28·2 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. To be a reserve for primary education.

All that piece or parcel of land in the Provincial District of Hawke's Bay, containing by admeasurement 1 rood, more or less, situate in the Takapau Survey District, and being Section No. 1, Block II., Village of Norsewood. Bounded on the North-east by Section No. 2, 250 links; on the South-east by a public road, 100 links; on the South-west by Odin Street, 250 links; and on the North-west by Section No. 6, 100 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. To be a reserve for primary education.

All that piece or parcel of land in the Provincial District of Hawke's Bay, containing by admeasurement 1 acre, more or less, situate in the Tahoraitē Survey District, being Section No. 5, Block III., Kumeroa Village. Bounded on the North by Section No. 4, 500 links; on the East by Section No. 10, 200 links; on the South by Section No. 6, 500 links; and on the West by a public road, 200 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For a gravel reserve.

WELLINGTON.

All those pieces of land situate in the Mangaone Survey District, in the Provincial District of Wellington, and comprising—

Section No. 19 of Block II., containing 109 acres and 6 perches, more or less. Bounded towards the North-east, 2634 links, by Section No. 17; towards the South-east, 3936 links, by Section No. 8; towards the South-west, 3121 links, by a public road; and towards the North-west, 3815 links, by Sections Nos. 20 and 18.

Section No. 17 of Block III., containing 195 acres 1 rood 10 perches, more or less. Bounded towards the North-east, 2505 links, by a public road; towards the South-east, 8204 links, by Section No. 18 of Block III., and Section No. 1 of Block VII.; towards the South-west, 2302 links, by Section No. 11 of Block VI.; and towards the North-west, 8869 links, by Section No. 16 of Block III.

Section No. 112 of Block XIV., containing 293 acres 1 rood, more or less. Bounded towards the North, 9852 links, by Section No. 116; towards the East, 3048 links, by the railway-line and a public road; towards the South, 10110 links, by Section No. 110, Block II., Kopuaranga; and towards the West, 3037 links, by Sections Nos. 23, 22, 19, and 18, Settlement of Mauriceville: be all the several measurements a little more or less.

CANTERBURY.

All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Canterbury, containing by admeasurement 2 roods, more or less, situate in Block X., in the Town of Horndon, being Section No. 2646 (in red). Bounded towards the North by Railway Terrace North, 200 links; towards the East by Section No. 10, 250 links; towards the South and West by Railway Reserve, distances respectively of 200 links and 250 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the District Survey Office, Christchurch. For a reserve for railway purposes.

All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Canterbury, being Section No. 11 of the subdivision of Reserve 1263, Otaio Survey District, containing 5 acres, more or less. Bounded on the North-east by a road; on the South-east by Section No. 12; on the South-west by Section No. 19; and on the North-west by Section No. 10. For a school site.

OTAGO.

All that parcel of land being Sections Nos. 1 and 2, Block XI., Township of Havelock, Provincial District of Otago, and containing 6 acres 1 rood 4 perches, be the same a little more or less, after deducting area taken for railway and road diversion; commencing at the south-east corner of Section No. 1; thence in a northerly direction along the west side of Lomley Street, on a line bearing 324° 18', for a distance of 1023·9 links; thence in a westerly direction along the south-side of Fordhall Street, on a line bearing 243° 42' 50," for a distance of 381·7 links; thence in a south-westerly direction on the south side of land taken for a road diversion, on lines bearing 202° 18' for a distance of 209·7 links, 219° for a distance of 52·2 links, 202° 18' for a distance of 262 links; thence in a southerly direction along the east side of Grindon Street, on a line bearing 144° 18', for a distance of 822 links; thence in an easterly direction along the north side of Sunderland Street, on a line bearing 234° 18', for a distance of 828 links, to the point of commencement. For a school site.

All that parcel of land in the County of Waitaki, containing 85 acres, more or less, being Section No. 20, Block V., Kurow Survey District. Bounded towards the North-east by the low-water line of the Waitaki River; towards the South-east by a right line being the production of the north-western side of the road forming the south-eastern boundary of Section No. 13, Block V., Kurow Survey District; and towards the South-west by the road forming the north-eastern boundary of Sections Nos. 13 and 12, Block V., Kurow Survey District: excepting the road intersecting the section. For a reserve for travelling stock.

All that parcel of land in the County of Waitaki, containing 36 acres, more or less, bounded towards the North-east and East by the low-water line of the Waitaki River to a point in line with the southern boundary of Section No. 1, Block V., Kurow Survey District; thence towards the South by a right line to and by the southern boundary of said Section No. 1; and towards the West by the western boundary of said Section No. 1 and that boundary produced to the low-water line of the Waitaki River: excepting the two roads intersecting the section. For a reserve for travelling stock.

SOUTHLAND.

All that parcel of land in the Southland Land District, containing by admeasurement 12 acres 3 roods 10 perches, more or less, being Section No. 4, Block III., on the map of Centre Hill District. Bounded on the North by Section No. 8 of said block, 1331 links; towards the South-east by a road-line, 564·5 links and 1649·6 links; and towards the South-west by a road-line, 301 links and 1782 links. For a gravel reserve.

Notice of Intention to change the Purpose of a Portion of a Reserve.

WHEREAS by “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” it is, amongst other things, enacted that the Governor may declare his intention to make, change, exchange, or alter the dedication of any public reserve now or hereafter vested in Her Majesty or the Governor for any of the purposes named in Class II. of the Schedule to the said Act, whether the same be granted or not; and, in the case of any reserves made under the authority of section one hundred and forty-four of “The Land Act, 1877,” if it shall, in the opinion of the Governor, be expedient to change the purpose of such reserves or any part thereof from the purpose or presumed purpose for which it was set apart to any other purpose, or if it shall, in the opinion of the Governor, be expedient to exchange any of the land comprised in such reserve for other land of equal value, to be dedicated to one or more purposes named in the said Class II., the Governor may, by notice in the Gazette, declare his intention to make such change, exchange, or dedication, as the case may be, and in such notice declare the manner and terms in which the same is intended to be so made:

Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” aforesaid, declare my intention to change the specific purpose of a portion of the reserve described in the first column of the Schedule hereto, the area of which is described in the second column of the said Schedule, to the specific purpose set opposite such description in the third column of the said Schedule.
