A PROCLAMATION.
IN exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by section thirty-two of “The Counties Acts Amendment Act, 1883,” and at the request of the Oxford Road Board, performing the functions of the County Council of the County of Ashley, in which county “The Counties Act, 1876,” is not in full operation, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare the land described in the Schedule hereto to be a water-race, as defined by section thirty-one of the said “Counties Acts Amendment Act, 1883,” to be known by the name of the Eyre Water-race; and further that the south branch of the Eyre River, in the County of Ashley, shall be a stream which may be taken for the purpose of supplying the said water-race.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area, 50 links in width, situate in the Survey District of Oxford, commencing in the River Eyre about 3 chains north-west of the northernmost corner of Section No. 22459, and proceeding generally south-easterly through Sections Nos. 23763, 23769, 23876, 22459, 19963, 19964, and 28992, Lots Nos. 42, 1, 2, 3, 7, 6, 4, and 44 of Reserve No. 2332 (in red), to the middle of a 2-chain road fronting Section No. 27316; thence along the middle of that road, to and along the northern boundary of Lot No. 40 and the northern boundary of Section No. 27331, to and through Sections Nos. 23734, 23743, 20798, 22914, 26394, 34786, and Lots Nos. 37 and 35 of Reserve No. 2331 (in red) to the middle of a 2-chain road fronting Lot No. 32; thence along the middle of that road across Reserve No. 1081, and along the middle of a 2-chain road fronting Lots Nos. 12, 11, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, and 19 of the said Reserve No. 2331, and of that road continued past Section No. 32971, to its junction with the continuation of the road forming the south-eastern boundary of Section No. 35375: as delineated on the plan deposited in the Survey Office, Christchurch.
Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir William Francis Drummond Jervois, Lieutenant-General in Her Majesty's Army, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Companion of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this tenth day of November, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty-four.

THE following special orders, made by the Waitemata County Council, are published in accordance with “The Counties Act 1876 Amendment Act, 1882.”

SPECIAL ORDERS.
THE following special orders were made at an ordinary meeting of the Waitemata County Council held on the 31st October, 1884:—

That, in terms of “The Roads Act, 1882,” a new road district be constituted, to be called the Waipareira Road District, with the following boundaries: Bounded towards the North, North-east, and East from the north-west angle of Lot 67 of the Parish of Waipareira, by the Waitemata Harbour, and Taikata and Huruhuru or Swanson’s Creeks to the Great North Road, on the western boundary of Lot 5 of the aforesaid Parish of Waipareira; and thence on the South-west by the eastern boundary of the Waitakerei West Road District and Brigham’s Creek to Lot 67 aforesaid, the point of commencement. That the Board of such district shall consist of five members.

That the Road Districts of Titirangi and Manukau, comprising one continuous area, be constituted a new road
