WRITTEN TENDERS will be received at this office up
to noon on 31st March, 1884, from persons who are
willing to contract for the supply and delivery of one hundred
tons of Portland Cement. The cement to be manufactured
in the Colony of New Zealand, and to be delivered at any of
the under-mentioned places, viz., Auckland, Wellington,
Christchurch, Lyttelton, Dunedin, Port Chalmers, or Inver-
cargill. Tenders to be addressed to the Minister for Public
Works, and to be marked outside "Tender for Supply of 100
tons of Portland Cement." Specifications and conditions
may be seen at the Public Works Offices, Auckland, Welling-
ton, Christchurch, Dunedin, and Invercargill. The lowest or
any tender will not necessarily be accepted.

Delegation of Powers of Judge in Bankruptcy to Registrar
of the Supreme Court.
WHEREAS by section 24 of "The Bankruptcy Act,
1883," it is enacted that a Registrar shall sit at
Chambers for despatch of such part of the business of the
Court as he is authorized to carry out either by the provisions
of the Act, or by delegation of the Judge, or by any general
rules, and subject thereto as a Judge of the Court from time
directs, and while so sitting shall have the same power and
jurisdiction as a Judge of the Court at Chambers would have,
and an order made by him shall be an order of the Court:
Now I, Alexander James Johnston, a Judge in Bankruptcy,
do hereby delegate to Andrew Roby Bloxam, Registrar at
Christchurch of the Supreme Court of New Zealand, the
power to appoint the days for the examination of bankrupts
under subsection 1, section 149, of "The Bankruptcy Act,
1883."

IN exercise of the power in me in this behalf vested by
"The Bankruptcy Act, 1883," I hereby direct that
Henry Clayton Brewer, Esq., Registrar of the Supreme
Court for the Northern Judicial District, shall sit at Cham-
bers, at all convenient times during office hours, for the pur-
pose of granting orders of adjudication in bankruptcy upon
the petition of the debtor.

Letters Patent to leave, on or before the 7th day of May
next, at this office, particulars in writing of their objec-
tions to the said application, otherwise they will be pre-
cluded from urging the same.
