Proclaiming the Taking and Laying-off of Roads over Lands in the Auckland Provincial District.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and in exercise of all powers and authorities enabling me in this behalf, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim that the roads described in the Schedule hereto have been duly taken and laid off through the lands specified under warrant of the date given in the said Schedule.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Auckland, containing by admeasurement 1 acre 2 roods 38 perches, more or less, situate in the Purua Survey District, and being a road-line, 100 links wide, traversing the south-western portion of the Onoke Block, No. 3548; commencing at a point on the north-eastern side of the road which forms the south-western boundary of the Onoke Block aforesaid at a distance of 1000 links or thereabouts from the Otapapa Stream, being the middle of the road above referred to; and thence continuing northerly and westerly generally for a distance of 1740 links or thereabouts to a point on the boundary-road above referred to, and at a distance of 1050 links or thereabouts from the commencing point: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on Plan No. 3606, deposited in the Survey Office, at Auckland.

Date of warrant, 1st April, 1884.

Buildings known as Dunedin Lunatic Asylum to cease to be a Lunatic Asylum.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the forty-ninth section of “The Lunatics Act, 1882,” and by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the Colony of New Zealand, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the said colony, do hereby proclaim that the buildings situated in London Street, in the City of Dunedin, heretofore used a a lunatic asylum, shall, on and after the date hereof, cease to be used as a lunatic asylum.

Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir William Francis Drummond Jervois, Lieutenant-General in Her Majesty’s Army, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Companion of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this fourth day of November, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty-four.

Abolishing and altering Licensing Districts.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by “The Licensing Act, 1881,” and “The Licensing Act Amendment Act, 1882,” I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby, from and after the sixth day of November instant, abolish the Licensing District of Deep Stream, and alter and redefine the boundaries oft he Licensing Districts of Outram and Waitahuna, which shall, from and after the said sixth day of November instant, be those described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

Outram Licensing District.—Comprises all that area known as the Ridings of Outram and Deep Stream, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 63, 28th November, 1876.

Waitahuna Licensing District.—Comprises all that area known as the Ridings of Waitahuna and Waipori, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 63, 28th November, 1876, and the Riding of Clark’s, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 60, 29th June, 1883.

Notice under “The Native Land Laws Amendment Act, 1883.”

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is vested in a certain aboriginal native of New Zealand, subject to certain restrictions on the alienation of such land, and application has been made for the partial removal of such restrictions:

It is hereby notified that it is the intention of His Excellency the Governor, immediately after the expiration of sixty days from the publication of this notice in the Gazette and in the Kahiti, partially to remove the said restrictions on the alienation of the said land, so as to admit of the leasing of the said land for nine years, from the first day of January, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-six.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that piece of land situated in the District of Oeo, containing 1,792 acres 1 rood, more or less, and being Allotment No. 1 and part of Allotment No. 2 of Block II. and the whole of Allotment No. 4 of Block III. on the plan of the said district, and being the whole of the land comprised in a certain grant from the Crown dated the 4th day of February, 1881, and recorded in the Register-book at New Plymouth, Vol. vii., folio 66; excepting that portion of the said land comprised in the said grant, containing 21 acres 3 roods, more or less, delineated and coloured pink on the plan of the lands comprised in the said grant, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar, at New Plymouth.
