Proclaiming the Taking and Laying-off of Roads over Lands
in the Auckland Provincial District.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and in exercise of all powers and authorities
enabling me in this behalf, I, William Francis Drum-
mond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do
hereby proclaim that the roads described in the Schedule
hereto have been duly taken and laid off through the lands
specified under a warrant of the date given in the said
Schedule.
SCHEDULE.
ALL those parcels of land in the Provincial District of Auck-
land, containing by admeasurement 9 acres 3 roods 5 perches,
4 acres 2 roods 7 perches, and 3 acres 3 roods 37 perches,
respectively, more or less, situate in the Turanganui Survey
District, and being portions of road-lines, each 100 links wide,
traversing the Te Awa Puni Block, No. 1625:—
Portion containing 9 acres 3 roods 5 perches: Commencing
at a point on the north-eastern boundary of the Kaipara
Block, No. 1716, at a distance of 150·6 links or thereabouts
from its easternmost angle, being the middle of the road
above referred to; and thence continuing easterly generally
for a distance of 9856 links or thereabouts to high-water mark
of Poverty Bay, at a distance of 4000 links or thereabouts
from the south-western boundary of the Wai-o-Hi-Harore
Block.
Portion containing 4 acres 2 roods 7 perches: Commencing
at a point on the northern side of the road hereinbefore de-
scribed at a distance of 1700 links or thereabouts from
Poverty Bay, being the middle of the road above referred to;
and thence continuing north-easterly for a distance of 4600
links or thereabouts to the south-western boundary of the
Wai-o-Hi-Harore Block, at a distance of 1400 links or there-
abouts from Poverty Bay.
Portion containing 3 acres 3 roods 37 perches: Commencing
at a point on the south-western boundary of the Wai-o-Hi-
Harore Block at a distance of 350 links or thereabouts from
the Waikanae Stream, being the middle of the road above
referred to; and thence continuing southerly for a distance
of 3986 links or thereabouts to its junction with the road
lastly hereinbefore described: be all the aforesaid linkages
more or less; as the same is delineated on Plan No. 3649,
deposited in the Survey Office, at Auckland.
All those parcels of land in the Provincial District of
Auckland, containing by admeasurement 2 acres 3 roods
33 perches, 2 acres 2 roods 5 perches, and 1 acre 2 roods
27 perches, respectively, more or less, situated in the Tura-
nganui Survey District, and being portions of road-lines, each
100 links wide, traversing the Wai-o-Hi-Harore Block:—
Portion containing 2 acres 3 roods 33 perches: Commencing
at a point at high-water mark in Poverty Bay at a distance
of 1250 links or thereabouts from the south-western boundary
of the Wai-o-Hi-Harore Block aforesaid, being the middle of
the road above referred to; and thence continuing north-
easterly for a distance of 2958 links or thereabouts to the
Waikanae Stream, at a point 1300 links or thereabouts distant
from the north-eastern angle of the aforesaid block: be all
the aforesaid linkages more or less.
Portion containing 2 acres 2 roods 5 perches: Commencing
at a point on the south-western boundary of the Wai-o-Hi-
Harore Block aforesaid at a distance of 1400 links or there-
abouts from Poverty Bay, being the middle of the road above
referred to; and thence continuing easterly for a distance of
2535 links or thereabouts to its junction with the road here-
inbefore described.
Portion containing 1 acre 2 roods 27 perches: Commencing
at a point on the eastern boundary of the Wai-o-Hi-Harore
Block at a distance of 1050 links or thereabouts from Poverty
Bay, being the middle of the road above referred to; and
thence continuing westerly generally for a distance of 1669
links or thereabouts to its junction with the road first here-
inbefore described: be all the aforesaid linkages more or
less; as the same is delineated on Plan No. 3649, deposited
in the Survey Office, at Auckland.
All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Auckland,
containing by admeasurement 6 acres and 10 perches, more
or less, situate in the Turanganui Survey District, and being
a road-line, 100 links wide, traversing the Wai-o-Hi-Harore
No. 1 Block; commencing at a point on the western boundary
of the Wai-o-Hi-Harore Block aforesaid at a distance of
1050 links or thereabouts from high-water mark of Poverty
Bay; and thence continuing easterly and south-easterly
generally for a distance of 6065 links or thereabouts to the
south-eastern boundary of the aforesaid block at a distance
of 426 links or thereabouts from high-water mark of Poverty
Bay aforesaid: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as
the same is delineated on Plan No. 3649, deposited in the
Survey Office, at Auckland.
Also all that parcel of land containing by admeasurement
3 roods 28 perches, more or less, commencing at a point on the
south-western boundary of the Wai-o-Hi-Harore Block afore-
said at a distance of 350 links or thereabouts from the
Waikanae Stream, being the middle of the road above referred
to; and thence continuing north-easterly for a distance of
925 links thereabouts to the Waikanae Stream: be all the
aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on
Plan No. 3649, deposited in the Survey Office, at Auckland.
