The length of such race is one and a half miles or thereabouts, and its intended course is north-east and south-west; it is partly constructed; and the time required for completion is one month. The right is asked for fifteen years. The mean depth of such race is 1 foot, and the mean breadth is 1 foot, and it is proposed to divert one Government-head of water in all.

THE Partnership hitherto existing between JAMES STANISTREET LARGE and JOHN TOWNLEY, Cabinetmakers and Upholsterers, of Napier and Gisborne, has this day been dissolved by mutual consent. The Napier business will be carried on by James Stanistreet Large, who will receive all moneys and accounts due to the late firm, and will pay all accounts due by the Napier business.

WAKATIPU STEAM NAVIGATION COMPANY (LIMITED), IN LIQUIDATION.
NOTICE is hereby given that a General Meeting of the shareholders of the above company will be held at the Liquidator’s Office, Ballarat Street, Queenstown, on Monday, the 1st day of December, 1884, at 2 p.m., to pass a resolution confirming the several special resolutions passed at a general meeting of shareholders of the aforesaid company, held on the 6th day of October, 1884, at the Liquidator’s Office, viz.:
“That the Liquidator be empowered to write off from the Shareholders’ Register the various overdue calls amounting to £197 2s. 7d., being unrecoverable on shares.”
A General Meeting of Shareholders will then be held at the close of the above-mentioned meeting, and at the same place, to consider the account of the Liquidator, and to pass a resolution that the company has been fairly wound up.

GREAT REDUCTION IN PRICE.
THE House of Representatives having ordered that Hansard should be offered for sale to the public at the cost of paper, presswork, and binding (exclusive of composition), this is to notify that the subscription of Ten Shillings for each session hitherto charged is now REDUCED to TWOPENCE per PART, post free. The average number of parts per session is thirty, so that subscribers wishing to take them for the session should pay for that number.
All Postmasters throughout the colony are authorized to receive the names and addresses of intending subscribers, on prepayment of subscriptions.
Orders will be supplied only from the date of their reception at the Government Printing Office at Wellington, unless previous numbers should be in stock.
Hansard is published in bi-weekly parts on Tuesdays and Fridays.
