THE following special order, made by the Waitotara
County Council, is published in accordance with "The
Counties Act 1876 Amendment Act, 1882."

SPECIAL ORDER.

THAT, in accordance with the petition of the ratepayers of
the Tokomaru Riding, the Tokomaru Riding be granted two
members at the County Council, to take effect at the next
general election in November, 1884, under section 60 of "The
Counties Act, 1876."

I hereby certify the above special order was duly made and
passed by the Waitotara County Council, on Monday, the
6th October, 1884.

First Elections &c., Town District of Amberley, County of
Ashley.

Wellington, 10th October, 1884.

HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased to ap-
point

WILLIAM TYRONE FERRAR, Esq.,

to be the Returning Officer to conduct the first elections of
Commissioners for the Town District of Amberley, as con-
stituted under "The Town Districts Act, 1881;" also to
appoint Friday, the 14th day of November, 1884, to be the
time, and the Resident Magistrate's Courthouse, Amberley,
to be the place, for holding such first elections; and also
to appoint Friday, the 21st day of November, 1884, at
7.30 p.m., to be the time, and the State Schoolhouse,
Amberley, to be the place, for holding the first meeting of
the Commissioners.
