To the Mining Registrar at Alexandra South of the Dunstan Mining District, and all other persons whom it may concern.

TAKE notice that it is intended to construct a Water-race and divert water for all or any of the purposes mentioned in section 31 of “The Mines Act, 1877,” commencing at a point in a gully about 50 yards north of James White’s residence on the north slope of the water-shed of Obelisk Creek, and taking up in its course the water in another gully about 200 yards from commencing point, and terminating at John Butler’s homestead, Bald Hill Flat. The length of such race is one and a half miles or thereabouts, and its intended course is north-east and south-west; it is partly constructed; and the time required for completion is one month. The right is asked for fifteen years. The mean depth of such race is 1 foot, and the mean breadth is 1 foot, and it is proposed to divert one Government-head of water in all.

COUNTY ROAD DECLARED.

I HEREBY give notice that, in pursuance of the powers granted by “The Public Works Act, 1882,” the Southland County Council, by resolution passed on the 12th September, 1884, declared the following road to be a County Road within the meaning of the said Act, namely,—
The Oteramika Road, beginning at east boundary of Invercargill, and terminating at that portion of same road already proclaimed a county road.

I HEREBY give notice that, in pursuance of the powers granted by “The Public Works Act, 1882,” the Southland County Council, by resolution passed on the 12th September, 1884, declared the following road to be a County Road within the meaning of the said Act, namely,—
That road beginning at Stoney Creek Hotel, on Gore to Mandeville Road; thence across the Mataura Bridge, Otama, through Otama District to the boundary of the Chatton District; thence due north to the Gordon to Pyramid County Road.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership hitherto existing between WILLIAM RICHARD JONES and THOMAS GREEN, in the business of Tailors, in the City of Wellington, under the style of “Green and Co.,” has been dissolved by mutual consent as from the 6th day of October, 1884. The business of the late copartnership will be carried on by the said Thomas Green on his sole account, in his own name; and all debts owing to and by the late firm in respect of the said business are to respectively be paid to and by him.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between us, the undersigned AARON AYERS and HENRY JAMES ROSS, carrying on business together in copartnership, in the City of Christchurch, as Auctioneers, under the name, style, or firm of “Ayers, Ross, and Co.,” was dissolved by mutual consent as and from the 30th day of September, 1884. The business will in future be carried on by Mr. Henry James Ross, on his sole account, and he will receive all debts due to, and satisfy all debts due by, the late firm.

I, ALEXANDER JAMES JOHNSTON, Judge, at Christchurch, of the Supreme Court of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Clarence Harcourt, of No. 13, Moorgate Street, in the City of London, a Solicitor of Her Britannic Majesty’s Supreme Court of Judicature and High Court of Justice in England, to be and act as a Commissioner of the Supreme Court of New Zealand in England, for the purpose of taking acknowledgments of married women under any Act or law in force in the colony requiring such acknowledgments to be made or taken, to have, enjoy, exercise, and use the said office of Commissioner, and the power and authority aforesaid, as long as it shall please the said Court.

ALL that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasurement 1 acre, more or less, situate in the Survey District of Mairaki, Provincial District of Canterbury, portion of Rural Section No. 5896, Block VI., and bounded as follows: Commencing at a point on the north-eastern boundary of the said Section No. 5896 distant 1046 links south-easterly from the intersection of the Government road running along the said boundary, by the Government road running south-easterly through the said section; thence south-westerly at a right angle, 400 links; thence south-easterly at a right angle, 254 1/2 links; thence north-easterly at an angle of 88° 49′, 400 1/10 links, to the aforesaid north-eastern boundary of the said section; and from thence returning north-westerly along the same, 245 3/10 links, to the commencing point.
