THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.

Napier Railway shall and may be constructed on or through the parcel of land more particularly described in the Schedule hereto, and delineated in the plan marked P.W.D. 11482, deposited in the office of the Minister for Public Works, at Wellington, in the Provincial District of Wellington, in the said colony.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasurement 3 acres and 4 perches, being part of Section No. 20, Hutt District (Block VIII., Belmont Survey District), comprising parts of Subdivisions Nos. 6, 7, and 8 of that section, known as Te Momi West; commencing at the junction of the Hutt Main Road with the northernmost boundary of Section No. 20. Bounded—Generally South-easterly by the main road 843 links, and by lines 175 and 172 links respectively; Southerly by a line, 228 links; North-westerly by the railway-line, 111, 6, 500, 6, and 434 links respectively; Northerly by Section No. 24, 341 links, to the commencing point.
Also all that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasurement 1 rood 33 perches, being part of Section No. 20, Hutt District (Block VIII., Belmont Survey District), comprising parts of Subdivisions Nos. 6, 7, and 8 of that section, known as Te Momi West; commencing at a point on the northernmost boundary of Section No. 20 distant 2584 links from the north-west corner thereof. Bounded—Northerly by Section No. 24, 51 links; South-easterly by the railway-line, 375, 6, 500, 6, and 170 links respectively; Southerly by a line, 59 links; and North-westerly by a line, 1047 links, to the commencing point: be all the above areas and linkages either more or less; the several parcels of land being situate in the Provincial District of Wellington, and are more particularly delineated upon the plan marked P.W.D. 11482, deposited in the office of the Minister for Public Works, at Wellington, in the Provincial District of Wellington.

Closing Cemeteries in Christchurch.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-fifth day of September, 1884.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS it appears to the Governor that burials in the cemeteries described in the Schedule hereto should be wholly discontinued: And whereas a sufficient cemetery, not within the limits of any borough or town district, has been provided, and has been prepared for the interment of the dead, as required by “The Cemeteries Act, 1882:”
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the Colony of New Zealand, and in pursuance of the authorities vested in him by the said “Cemeteries Act, 1882,” doth hereby order and direct that, from and after the first day of April, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-five, burials within the cemeteries described in the said Schedule hereto shall be wholly discontinued.
SCHEDULE.
CHURCH OF ENGLAND CEMETERY RESERVE.
ALL that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Canterbury, containing by admeasurement 22 acres 2 roods, more or less, being Section No. 20 (in red), situate in the Borough of Christchurch. Bounded towards the North by the North Town Belt, 1905 links; towards the East by the East Town Belt, 1460 links; towards the West by Barbadoes Street, 2210 links; and towards the South by Cambridge Terrace East: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the District Survey Office, Christchurch.
ROMAN CATHOLIC CEMETERY RESERVE.
All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Canterbury, containing by admeasurement 1 acre, more or less, being Section No. 42 (in red), situate in the Borough of Christchurch. Bounded towards the North by Lot 158 of the Christchurch Town Reserves, 200 links; towards the East by Barbadoes Street, 500 links; towards the West by Lots 157 and 158 of the Christchurch Town Reserves, 500 links; and towards the South by Reserve 43 (in red), 200 links: as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the District Survey Office, Christchurch.
DISSENTERS’ CEMETERY RESERVE.
All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Canterbury, containing by admeasurement 1 acre, more or less, being Section No. 43 (in red), situate in the Borough of Christchurch. Bounded towards the North by Reserve 42 (in red), 200 links; towards the East by Barbadoes Street, 500 links; towards the South by Salisbury Street, 200 links; and towards the West by Lot 157 of the Christchurch Town Reserves, 500 links: as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the District Survey Office, Christchurch.

WHEREAS by “The Court of Appeal Act, 1882,” it is enacted that the Court shall hold its sittings at such times and places as shall be from time to time fixed by the Governor in Council, and proclaimed in the Government Gazette twenty-one days at least before the time so fixed respectively:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby fix that a sitting of the Court of Appeal of New Zealand shall be held within the Supreme Courthouse, in the City of Wellington, upon Monday, the third day of November, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-four, at eleven o’clock in the forenoon.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities in that behalf conferred upon him by “The Stamp Act, 1882,” His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order and declare that, from and after the first day of October, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-four, the charges paid and collected in New Zealand on telegrams forwarded from or received at any telegraph office in the colony shall be accounted for by means of stamps to be affixed, in the case of prepaid forwarded telegrams, by the senders or officers, on the fronts of the message-forms, under the heading “Fees received.”

HIS Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by virtue and in pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon him by the thirteenth section of “The Electric Telegraph Act, 1875,” and of every other power enabling him in that behalf, and by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby make the regulations in the Schedule hereto annexed, and such regulations shall come into force from and after the first day of October, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-four; and doth further declare that all existing regulations inconsistent with such regulations respectively are hereby revoked.

THE following regulation shall henceforth be read in lieu of clause 43 of the Telegraph Regulations, issued under the authority of an Order in Council dated the 18th September, 1869, namely:—
