Land taken for Further Portion of the Kaipara-Waikato Railway (further Portion of Kumeu-Helensville Section).

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken for a further portion of the Kaipara-Waikato Railway, namely, further portion of Kumeu-Helensville section:
And whereas all conditions precedent required by law to be observed and performed prior to the taking of such land in the manner hereby provided have been observed and performed:
Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred by section one hundred and thirty of “The Public Works Act, 1882,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is taken for the further portion of the said line of railway hereinbefore specified.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Auckland, containing by admeasurement 2 acres 3 roods 8 perches, more or less, situate in the Waitemata Survey District, and being a portion of a railway-line traversing Section No. 10 of a subdivision of the Taupaki Block; commencing at a point on the north-western boundary of Section No. 10 aforesaid at a distance of 1509 links from the Kumeu River. Bounded —North-easterly by lines, 675 and 1491 links respectively; North-westerly by a line, 250 links; North-easterly by a line, 100 links; South-easterly by a line, 600 links; South-westerly by a line, 100 links; North-westerly by a line, 250 links; South-westerly by lines, 1491 and 750 links respectively; North-westerly by a line, 121 links, to the commencing point: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated upon the plan marked P.W.D. 12015, deposited in the office of the Minister for Public Works, at Wellington, in the Provincial District of Wellington.
Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir William Francis Drummond Jervois, Lieutenant-General in Her Majesty’s Army, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Companion of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this thirtieth day of September, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty-four.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken for further portion of the Wellington-Napier Railway, namely, Wellington-Woodville Section—additional land at Pipitea Station:
And whereas all conditions precedent required by law to be observed and performed prior to the taking of such land in the manner hereby provided have been observed and performed:
Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred by section one hundred and thirty of “The Public Works Act, 1882,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is taken for the further portion of the said line of railway hereinbefore specified.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasurement 1 acre and 10 perches, more or less, situate in Port Nicholson Survey District, Provincial District of Wellington, being portion of Port Nicholson Harbour; commencing at a point being the production in a north-easterly direction for a distance of 142¼ links of the southernmost side of Davis Street. Bounded—North-westerly by the land reclaimed by the Wellington and Manawatu Railway Company, 433 links; South-easterly by Port Nicholson Harbour, 673 links; South-westerly by the Thorndon Reclamation in lines, 47 and 450 links respectively, to point of commencement: as the same is more particularly delineated upon the plan marked P.W.D. 11559, deposited in the office of the Minister for Public Works, at Wellington.

Land set apart on Deferred Payments in Southland.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by the fifty-third section of “The Land Act, 1877,” it is enacted that the Governor, by Proclamation in the Gazette, may from time to time set apart out of any suburban or rural lands such blocks or allotments of land as he shall think fit, and set the same aside for sale on deferred payments, and in such Proclamation may fix a day on which the land shall be open for application; and that he may also in like manner set apart for sale on deferred payments such blocks or allotments as may be recommended by any Land Board, and may also from time to time alter, amend, or revoke any such Proclamation:
And whereas the Land Board of Southland did, on the fourth day of September, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-four, pass a resolution recommending that the land described in the Schedule hereto annexed should be set apart for sale on deferred payments:
And whereas it is expedient to give effect to the aforesaid recommendation, and to set apart the said land accordingly:
Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by the above-named Act, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is set apart for sale on deferred payments; and that Wednesday, the tenth day of December, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-four, shall be the day on which the said land shall be open for application, in allotments as surveyed and marked on the selection map in the principal land office of the district.
And, further, in pursuance of the fifth section of “The Land Act 1877 Amendment Act, 1879,” I do hereby fix the price at which the land so described shall be sold to be the price set opposite each allotment in the Schedule hereto.
