Special Order made by Manawatu County Council.—Constitution of Wirokino and Te Horo Road Districts.

THE following special order, made by the Manawatu County Council, under “The Road Boards Act, 1882,” is published in accordance with “The Counties Act 1876 Amendment Act, 1882.”

THOMAS DICK.

SPECIAL ORDER.

  1. THAT the portion of the existing Otaki Highway District comprising Wards Nos. 1, 2, and part 3, the boundaries of which are as follows—Bounded on the North by the southern boundary of the Oroua County; thence southwards along the Tararua Ranges; thence westwards along the southern boundaries of the blocks called Ohau No. 2 and Ohau No. 3 to the sea; thence northwards along the sea-coast to the Manawatu River; thence up the river in a northerly direction to the point where the southern boundary of the Oroua County strikes the river—shall be a separate Road Board district; and that the name of the said Road Board district shall be the Wirokino Road Board District; that it shall not be divided into subdivisions, but be represented by five members.

  2. That the portion of the existing Otaki Highway District comprising Wards Nos. 6, 7, and part 5, the boundaries of which are as follows—On the North by the northern bank of the Otaki River, starting at the mouth of the said river and running along the north bank to where the northern boundary of the Waihonga Block No. 4 strikes the said bank; thence along the northern boundary of the said Waihonga Block to the eastern boundary of the Manawatu County; thence southwards along the said boundary to the southern boundary of the Manawatu County; thence along the southern boundary to the sea-coast, and along the sea-coast to the starting point—shall be a separate Road Board district; and that the name of the said Road Board district shall be the Te Horo Road Board District; that it shall not be divided into subdivisions, but be represented by five members.

I hereby certify that the foregoing Special Orders 1 and 2 have been made by this Council, and in accordance with “The Counties Act 1876 Amendment Act, 1882,” clauses 32 and 33, and also in accordance with the provisions of “The Road Boards Act, 1882,” relating thereto.
