Defining the Purpose of Reserves at Featherston.

WHEREAS the provisions and the requirements of the
seventh section of "The Public Reserves Act, 1881,"
have been duly complied with in respect of the lands de-
scribed in the first column of the Schedule hereto: And
whereas notices in the Gazette have been duly published for
four consecutive weeks, and laid before both Houses of the
Assembly, as provided by the ninth section of the said Act:
And whereas no resolution of either House of Assembly has
been passed that such House does not concur in the inten-
tion declared in any such notices:

Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pur-
suance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the
Act aforesaid, do hereby exchange the land described in the
first column of the Schedule hereto for the land described in
the second column of the said Schedule.
