THE following election of members of a Road Board is
published in accordance with "The Road Boards Act,
1882."

Special Order made by Bruce County Council.—Special Rate.

THE following special order, made by the Bruce County
Council, is published for general information.

THOMAS DICK.

COPY of SPECIAL ORDER made by the Bruce County Council
on the 4th day of September, 1883.

THAT the Council intend, at a special meeting to be held on
the 4th day of September, 1883, at noon, to levy a special
rate over the Matau and Kaitangata Ridings, to repay the
one-fourth granted under "The Roads and Bridges Con-
struction Act, 1882;" and that such rate shall be an annually
recurring rate for the period of ten years, commencing on
the 1st day of April, 1883, and payable in one instalment on
the 1st March in each year.

Certificate of Chairman, Bruce County: I hereby certify
that the special order of the Bruce County Council, to levy a
special rate over the Matau and Kaitangata Ridings, has
been duly made according to "The Counties Act, 1876," and
its amendments.

Special Order made by Patea County Council.—Constituting
Whenuakura-Waitotara Road District.

THE following special order, made by the Patea County
Council, is published in accordance with "The Road
Boards Act, 1882," and "The Counties Act 1876 Amendment
Act, 1882."

COPY of SPECIAL ORDER constituting Whenuakura-Waitotara
Road District.

  1. THAT the following special order be made, giving name,
    boundaries, number of subdivisions, and boundaries of such
    subdivisions, viz.: Name—"The Whenuakura-Waitotara
    Road District." Boundary—From the sea to the Whe-
    nuakura Bridge; thence along main road (excluding Town-
    ship of Waverley) to the western boundary of the Waitotara
    Township; thence by river to the sea; thence along coast to
    mouth of Whenuakura River. Number of subdivisions shall
    be five. Number of Wardens—Five.

WHENUAKURA-WAITOTARA ROAD DISTRICT.

All that area in the Wairoa Survey District, County of
Patea, Provincial District of Wellington, bounded generally
towards the North, commencing at the left bank of the
Whenuakura River by the main public road forming the
boundaries of the following sections, and crossing all inter-
vening public roads, viz.: Sections Nos. 343, 375, and 342,
Block V., Nos. 281, 341, 340, and 338, Block VI., and No. 337,
Block VII., to the western boundary of Section No. 335,
Block VII.; thence bounded by Sections Nos. 335, 334, 333,
332, 331, 327, 325, 324, 323, 322, 321, 320, and 319, Block VII.,
and by the western boundary of Section No. 317, Block VII.;
again by the said main public road forming the boundaries of
the following sections, viz.: Sections Nos. 317, 316, and 315,
Block VII., No. 314, Block VIII., and Nos. 313, 312, 311, and
310, to the western boundary of Section No. 305, Block XIII;
towards the East by the said Section No. 305, and by the
Waitotara River to the sea; towards the South by the sea;
and towards the West by the Whenuakura River from its
mouth to the place of commencement.
