IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me by the sixth section of "The Cemeteries
Act, 1882," I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint

MAX HENREICH BEHRENS

to be a Trustee, in the place of Charles Colclough, resigned, to
provide for the maintenance and care of the Cromwell Ceme-
tery, in conjunction with the other persons appointed by
warrant under the hand of His Excellency the Governor on
the sixth day of December, one thousand eight hundred and
eighty.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this eleventh day of September, one thousand
eight hundred and eighty-three.

NOTICE.β€”HENRY AUGUSTUS LYONS, of Sydney, in the
Colony of New South Wales, a Solicitor of the
Supreme Court of New South Wales, has been appointed
this day, by His Honour the Chief Justice, a Commissioner
of the Supreme Court of New Zealand in the said colony,
under "The Commissioners of the Supreme Court Act, 1875,"
for the purpose of administering and taking all such oaths,
affidavits, and affirmations as in the said Act mentioned.

THE following regulation respecting the importation
of stock into Victoria is published for general infor-
mation.

THOMAS DICK.

REGULATION UNDER "THE DISEASES IN STOCK
ACT, 1872."

At the Executive Council Chamber, Melbourne, the sixth
day of August, 1883.

PRESENT:
His Excellency the Governor.
Mr. Service Mr. Langridge
Mr. Berry Mr. Tucker
Mr. Kerferd Mr. Deakin
Mr. Anderson Mr. Sargood.

WHEREAS by "The Diseases in Stock Act, 1872," among
other things the Governor in Council is empowered from
time to time to make orders and regulations for the purposes
therein mentioned, and to rescind the same: Now, therefore,
His Excellency the Governor, by and with the advice of the
Executive Council, doth hereby rescind No. 17 of the regula-
tions dated the thirty-first day of July, one thousand eight
hundred and eighty-two, and doth make the following regula-
tion in lieu thereof; that is to say, -

REGULATION.

  1. Sheep introduced from neighbouring Colonies. - Every
    sheep introduced by sea into the colony from any place in
    any of the Australasian Colonies or New Zealand, except
    King's Island, shall, immediately on being landed, be
    removed to some quarantine ground determined by the
    Governor in Council, or to some store or place in the city of
    Melbourne of which the Chief Inspector of Stock may, by
    writing under his hand, approve for that purpose, and which
    shall be deemed a quarantine ground, and shall be detained
    there until it has been dipped once, or oftener, as the Chief
    Inspector may direct, in the medicaments provided by the
    regulations under "The Scab Act, 1870," No. 370, and until
    the Chief Inspector shall, by writing under his hand,
    authorize its removal.
