THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.

Description of Trade Mark.

A single thin-lined circle enclosing a shield, upon which is the
representation of a cod-fish. Immediately within the circle
(following the form of same) are the abbreviation and words
"Dr. de Jongh's Cod Liver Oil;" below the circle are the
facsimile signatures "Dr. de Jongh," and "Ansar, Harford,
and Co."

A double thin-lined oblong with ornamental corners. Within
at the top are the abbreviation and words "Dr. de Jongh's
Light Brown," below which is an ornamentation, and the
obverse and reverse sides of a medallion. On the reverse side
is a wreath enclosing the inscription "Viro Doct. L. J. de
Jongh, M.D., Olei Jecoris Aselli Integritatem Emtoribus Tuenti
Rex D. MDCCCXLVIII." On the obverse side is the repre-
sentation of the head of William the Second of the Nether-
lands, surrounded by the words "Wilh. II. Nass. Belg. Rex.
Luxemb. M. Dux.;" below which are the words "Cod Liver
Oil."

An oblong with double thin-lined border. Within the
border are the words "Genuine Light Brown Cod Liver Oil,
prepared for medicinal use in the Loffoden Isles, Norway, and
put to the test of chemical analysis by Dr. Louis de Jongh, of
the Hague, Knight of the Order of Leopold of Belgium;" below
which is a horizontal line with ornamentation in the centre;
under which are the words, name, and address "Sole Con-
signees and Agents, Ansar, Harford, and Co., 77, Strand,
London, and sold by all respectable Chemists and Druggists
throughout the world. Imperial measure: Half-pints, 2s. 6d.;
pints, 4s. 9d.; quarts, 9s." On the left side, towards the top,
is a circle round which in the inside are the abbreviation and
words "Dr. de Jongh's Cod Liver Oil." In the centre is a
shield upon which is the representation of a cod-fish; below
which, running diagonally, is the facsimile signature "Ansar,
Harford, & Co." On the right side, also running diagonally,
is the facsimile signature of Dr. de Jongh. On the left of the
oblong are perpendicular lines; similar lines being on the right.
In the space between perpendicular lines and the border
the oblong on the left is printed matter relative to the award of
medals; the space on the right being occupied by printed
matter commendatory of the article to which the mark is
applied.

Nature of the Article to which it is intended such Trade
Mark shall apply.

NOTICE is hereby given that ALFRED DE LISA of 313,
George Street, Sydney, in the Colony of New South
Wales, Solicitor, has applied, on behalf of Messrs. A. AND F.
PEARS, of 38 and 39, Great Russell Street, Bloomsbury, London,
England, and Isleworth, Middlesex, England, Soap and Perfume
Manufacturers, to register, under "The Trade Marks Act, 1866,"
the trade mark of which the following is a description, viz. :

Description of Trade Mark.

The representation of a woman in the act of washing a boy
before a pan. In front of the slab on which they are standing
are the words "You dirty boy." Below the slab is the fac-
simile signature "A. & F. Pears."

Nature of the Articles to which it is intended such Trade
Mark shall apply.

NOTICE is hereby given that ALFRED DE LISSA, Of 313,
George Street, Sydney, in the Colony of New South
Wales, Solicitor, has applied, on behalf of Messrs. M. B. FOSTER
AND SONS, of 27, Brook Street, Bond Street, London, England,
Bottled Beer Merchants, to register, under "The Trade Marks
Act, 1866," the trade mark of which the following is a
description, viz. :-

Description of Trade Mark.

A one-lined oval enclosing another one-lined oval. On the
space between the inner and outer ovals on the left and right
space bottom
insertion of the description of the goods sold. The inner oval
is filled in with a background of lacework. Within the inner

oval at the top, following the form of the oval, is the name
"M. B. Foster & Sons," under which is the representation of a
horn suspended by a ribbon; at the point of suspension is a
shamrock; over the horn is the facsimile signature "M. B.
Foster & Sons;" under the horn is a ribbon, below which is the
address "27, Brook Street, Bond Street, London." Printed on
labels in different colours.

Nature of the Articles to which it is intended such Trade
Mark shall apply.

Approving and appointing Bonding Warehouses.

CUSTOMS. - In exercise of the powers in me for this purpose
vested by "The Customs Laws Consolidation Act, 1882,"
I, the Commissioner of Trade and Customs, do hereby approve
and appoint the under-mentioned warehouses, viz.,-

Port of Lyttelton.

The cellar and ground-floor, part of building erected in con-
crete and brick with slate roof, on part of Town Section No. 735,
fronting Cathedral Square, Christchurch, on the south-east
side, to be known as DALGETY'S BOND.

The collar of a building, of concrete, brick, and stone, roofed
with slates, situate on part of Town Section No. 900, facing on
to a corner of Cashel Street, Christchurch, and a right-of-way,
to be known as INGLIS'S BOND.

Part of the cellar, ground-floor, and upper story of a building,
constructed of concrete and brick, and roofed with iron, situate
in Lichfield Street, on Section No. 1001 of the plan of the City
of Christchurch, to be known as CHRYSTALL'S BOND,
-to be warehouses for the reception of goods under bond.

Given under my hand, at Wellington, this twentieth
day of January, one thousand eight hundred and
eighty-three.

Revocation of Appointment of Bonding Warehouse.

CUSTOMS. - In exercise of the authority in me for this
purpose vested, I, the Commissioner of Trade and Customs,
do, by this order under my hand, revoke and annul the appoint-
ment of the under-mentioned building as a warehouse for the
reception and security of goods entered to be warehoused with-
out payment of duty upon the first entry thereof, viz.,-

Port of Napier.

A building situate at the corner of Customhouse Street and
Waghorn Street, in the Port of Napier, and known as
BANNER'S BOND.

Given under my hand, at Wellington, this twenty-third
day of January, one thousand eight hundred and
eighty-three.
