  1. The claim must be made before the 30th June, 1884.
  2. The first claimant of any bonus who proves to the satis-
    faction of the Government that he has fulfilled all the con-
    ditions to be the recipient of the bonus.
  3. The other conditions as to quantity, priority, quality,
    and value to be fulfilled to the satisfaction of an officer
    appointed for the purpose by the Government.
    Further information and particulars may be obtained by
    application at the Colonial Secretary's Office.

WROUGHT-IRON.

A bonus of one thousand pounds (£1,000) will be given for
the production in New Zealand, by a direct process, of 200
tons of "iron blooms," of marketable quality, from ore pro-
duced in New Zealand.

Conditions.

  1. The bonus not to be given for any quantity less than
    100 tons.
  2. Notice of the intention to erect ironworks and claim the
    bonus must be given to the Colonial Secretary before the 31st
    December, 1883.
  3. The bonus must be claimed before the 31st December,
    1884.
  4. In the event of more than one claimant giving such
    notice, not more than seven-tenths of the bonus may be
    claimed by the first producer, and not more than three-tenths
    by the second producer; but, if only one claimant becomes a
    producer on the above conditions, he may claim the whole of
    the bonus.
  5. The iron in respect of which any bonus is claimed, and
    the ore from which it is manufactured, will be examined by
    an officer to be appointed by the Government, who may
    require the production of bona fide account-sales of quan-
    tities not less than 100 tons weight, showing that such iron
    has been sold at a fair market price as wrought-iron.

SPENCER GULF.—GERMEIN BAY.

NOTICE is hereby given that the black beacon placed in
latitude 33° 8' 15" S., longitude 137° 59' 30" E. has been re-
moved. A cylindrical buoy, painted black, now marks the
same place, on a bearing of S. 3° E., distant 1¼ miles (nearly)
from the end of the Germein Bay Jetty.

SPENCER GULF.—PORT PIRIE CREEK.

Two additional light beacons have been erected in the upper
reaches approaching the Port Pirie wharves. On and after
the 23rd instant these lights (white) will be permanently
exhibited, and should be passed on the starboard hand
coming in.
