30th June, 1883, in accordance with section 135 of "The
Mining Companies Act, 1872."

In the matter of "The Companies Act, 1882," and in the
matter of the Last Shot Quartz Mining Company
(Limited).

To the Shareholders of the Last-Shot Quartz-Mining Com-
pany (Limited).

NOTICE is hereby given that an extraordinary general
meeting of the Shareholders of the above-named
Company will be held at the Company's office, 148, Princes
Street, Dunedin, on Tuesday, the 31st day of July, 1883, at
the hour of half-past 3 o'clock in the afternoon, for the
purpose of confirming the following resolution, passed at an
extraordinary meeting of the shareholders of the said Com-
pany held on the 6th day of July, 1883:—

"That the Last-Shot Quartz-Mining Company (Limited)
be wound up voluntarily under the provisions of 'The Com-
panies Act, 1882.'"

And for the further purpose of appointing a Liquidator or
Liquidators to wind up the affairs of the Company and dis-
tribute the property thereof, and of fixing the remuneration
to be paid to him or them.

THE PUKEKURA ROAD DISTRICT BOARD

HEREBY give notice of their intention, under the pro-
visions contained in "The Public Works Act, 1882,"
to close the road between Section 342 and Sections 343A and
342A, Parish of Ngaroto.

Plans and full description of the road to be closed can be
seen for eight weeks from this date at the Waipa County
Council Chambers, Ohaupo.

1882."

THE Pukekura Road District Board hereby give notice
that it is their intention to take, under the provisions
contained in "The Public Works Act, 1882," for a district
road, for the purpose of effecting a deviation of the Ohaupo-
te-Rori Road, all that parcel of land in the Provincial
District of Auckland, in the Colony of New Zealand, con-
taining by admeasurement 1 acre 1 rood 6 perches, more or
less, situated in the Parish of Ngaroto, in the Pukekura
Highway District, and being a portion of a road-line, 100
links wide, traversing Allotment No. 343, commencing at the
southern angle of Allotment No. 342A. Bounded towards
the East by a line, 39 links; towards the South-east by other
portions of Allotment No. 343, 2044 links; towards the West
by a line, 118 links; and towards the North-west, 1982 links:
be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same is
delineated on Plan No. 2997, deposited in the Survey Office at
Auckland.

All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Auck-
land, in the Colony of New Zealand, containing by admea-
surement 2 roods 23 perches, more or less, situated in
the Parish of Ngaroto, in the Pukekura Highway District,
and being a portion of a road-line, 100 links wide, traversing
Allotment No. 342A, commencing at a point 179 links distant
from the easternmost angle of Allotment No. 342A, on its
north-eastern boundary. Bounded towards the North-east
by a road-line, 179 links; towards the South-east by a line,
859 links; towards the West by a line, 82 links; and towards
the North-west by other portions of Allotment No. 342A,
666.5 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the
same is delineated on Plan No. 2997, deposited in the Survey
Office at Auckland.

All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Auck-
land, in the Colony of New Zealand, containing by admea-
surement 2 roods 37 perches, more or less, situated in the
Parish of Ngaroto, in the Pukekura Highway District, and
being a portion of a road-line, 100 links wide, traversing
Allotment No. 343A, commencing on the eastern boundary
of Allotment No. 342A, at a point distant 82 links from its
south-eastern angle. Bounded towards the East by a line,
82 links; towards the South-east by a line, 1982 links;
towards the North-west by other portions of Allotment No.
343A, 2024.5 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less;
as the same is delineated on Plan No. 2997, deposited in the
Survey Office at Auckland.

All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Auck-
land, in the Colony of New Zealand, containing by admea-
surement 21 perches, more or less, situated in the Parish of
Ngaroto, in the Pukekura Highway District, and being a
portion of a road-line, 100 links wide, traversing Allotment
No. 343, commencing at the southern angle of Allotment
No. 342A. Bounded towards the North-west by a line, 859
links; towards the South-east by other portions of Allotment
No. 343, 876.3 links; and towards the West by a line, 39
links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same
is delineated on Plan No. 2997, deposited in the Survey
Office at Auckland.

Plans and full descriptions of the same can be seen at the
Waipa County Council Chambers, Ohaupo. All persons
affected are hereby requested to set forth in writing any
well-grounded objections to the execution of such work, or
the taking of such land, and to send such writing, within
forty days from date, to the Clerk of the Pukekura District
Board, Cambridge West.

In the matter of "The Industrial and Provident Societies
Act, 1877," and the matter of the Southland Farmers Co-
operative Association (Limited).

NOTICE is hereby given that, at a special general
meeting, duly convened, of the Members of the
above-named Association, held at the stores of the said
Association, Spey Street, Invercargill, on Saturday, the 23rd
day of June, 1883, for the purpose of confirming the special
resolutions passed on the 2nd June, 1883, the following reso-
lution was passed:—

"That the special resolutions passed on the 2nd June be
confirmed."

RESOLUTIONS.

  1. That, after hearing the Secretary's statement and report
    of the financial position of the Southland Farmers Co-
    operative Association (Limited), and taking into considera-
    tion the fact that heavy losses have been sustained by the
    Association, it is expedient and required, in the best
    interests of all concerned, that the Southland Farmers Co-
    operative Association (Limited) be wound up voluntarily.

  2. That John Lyon McDonald, of Invercargill, be ap-
    pointed Liquidator of the Southland Farmers Co-operative
    Association (Limited), with a committee of inspection con-
    sisting of Messrs. James Mackintosh, John McIntyre, James
    Gardner, James Fleming, and John Houghton.

THE HAWKE'S BAY MEAT EXPORT COMPANY
(LIMITED).

NOTICE is hereby given that an extraordinary general
meeting of the Shareholders in the above-named
Company will be held at the Offices of Matthew Robertson,
Miller, in Browning Street, Napier, on Friday, the 28th day
of September, 1883, at 11 o'clock in the forenoon.

Business: To receive the account of the Liquidators show-
ing the manner in which the winding-up of the Company has
been conducted and the property of the Company disposed of.
