visions of "The Land Transfer Act, 1870," unless caveat be
lodged forbidding the same within one month from the date
of the Gazette containing this notice.

days from the publication hereof in the New Zealand
Gazette, it is my intention to proceed with the registration
of certain dealings affecting the land included in certifi-
cate of title, registered Vol. XIV., folio 239, being Lots 59 and
60, Township of Kilburnie, of which JOHN MARSH KEMP
is the registered proprietor, without requiring production of
the said certificate, evidence of loss thereof having been
given as required by the Land Transfer Act. Caveat may be

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT A WATER-
RACE.
To the Mining Registrar at Hokitika, and all other persons
whom it may concern.
T
AKE notice that it is intended to construct a Water-
race and divert water for mining purposes, commencing
at a point near Humphrey's Gully, on the western boundary
line of Hokitika Harbour Board Endowment Reserve No.
145, and running generally in a westerly direction along the
leading spur to the terminating point in a creek known as
Jamieson's Creek (as shown on accompanying map).
The length of such race is two (2) miles or thereabouts.
The mean depth of such race is six (6) feet, and the mean
breadth six (6) feet, and is proposed to carry one hundred
Government-heads.
The estimated time for construction of such race is two (2)
years.
Map of approximate route of proposed Water-race attached
hereto. To be more particularly defined after survey.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT A WATER-
RACE.
Maungatua, Otago, 7th July, 1883.
To the Commissioner of Crown Lands at Dunedin.
I
HEREBY give notice that I intend to contruct a Water-
race to divert and use water for industrial purposes,
commencing at a point twenty-two chains above my property
situated on Fulton's Creek, and terminating at the Mountain
Road line, Maungatua Township.
The length of such race is thirty chains on Crown lands,
or thereabouts, and its intended course is west to east.
The mean depth of such race is 1 foot, and the mean
breadth is 1 foot 6 inches, and it is proposed to divert
four Government-heads of water.
Applicant: ALLAN MANN, Saw-miller, Woodside, West
Taieri.
Any person objecting to the granting of this application
must lodge his objection in writing at the Crown Lands
Office at Dunedin within thirty clear days from the date
hereof.
Hearing at 11 o'clock a.m. on the 8th August, 1883.

the Kohinoor Gold-Mining Company as a Limited
Company under the provisions of "The Mining Companies
Act, 1872."

Mining Company (Limited). - The place of operations is at Terawhiti.
