Districts constituted under "The Marriage Act, 1880."

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested
in the Governor by "The Marriage Act, 1880," I, William
Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New
Zealand, do hereby abolish the existing marriage district known
as the Tokatoka District, and do proclaim and declare that the
territory heretofore comprised within the said district is hereby
divided anew into two marriage districts, the names and
boundaries whereof shall be as follow:β€”

DARGAVILLE DISTRICT.

All that area in the Provincial District of Auckland, bounded
towards the North and North-west by the County of Hokianga,
from the sea to the Mangakahia Road; towards the North-east
by a right-line to the confluence of the Mangakahia and Wairua
Rivers; thence by a right-line to the South-west corner of
Mangatapere Block, at Waionepu River; towards the East
generally by the Mangakaramea Parish to the Tauraroa River;
thence generally towards the South-east by the said River, the
Mangonui River, and Arapohue Parish, to the Wairoa River;
thence by a due west line across and by the said river to the
Aratapu Creek, by the said creek to Section 14, Tatarariki Parish,
and by said section and Sections 15, 16, and 44, of said Parish,
to the north-west corner of the last-mentioned section; thence
by a right-line to the north-east corner of Section 51, and by
that section and the Sandhills Reserve to the sea; and towards
the South-west by the sea to Maunganui Bluff, the starting
point.

TOKATOKA DISTRICT.

All that area in the Provincial District of Auckland, bounded
towards the North generally by the Dargaville District
before described; towards the East by the Mangonui River
to a stream forming the western boundary of Sections 243,
244, and 245, Matakohe Parish; towards the South-east
generally by that stream, and by Sections 48, 87, 86, 85, 84, 83,
82, 81, 80, the southern boundaries of Sections 31 and 30,
the north-eastern boundaries of Sections 28 and 29, and by
the south-eastern boundaries of said Section 29 and Section 1,
all of Matakohe Parish, to the Awaroa Stream, and by that
stream to the Wairoa River; thence towards the South by a
due west line across that river; again towards the North-east
and South by the said Wairoa River and the Kaipara Estuary
to the sea; and towards the South-west by the sea to the
Dargaville District before described.

And I hereby declare that this Proclamation shall come into
operation on the first day of August, in the year of our Lord
one thousand eight hundred and eighty-three.

Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir William
Francis Drummond Jervois, Lieutenant-General in
Her Majesty's Army, Knight Grand Cross of the
Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and
Saint George, Companion of the Most Honourable
Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-in-
Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony of New
Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of
the same; and issued under the Seal of the said
Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington,
this tenth day of July, in the year of our Lord one
thousand eight hundred and eighty-three.

and Deaths Act, 1875
."

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested
in the Governor by "The Registration of Births and
Deaths Act, 1875
," I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby abolish
the existing registration district known as the Tokatoka
District; and do proclaim and declare that the territory hereto-
fore comprised within the said district is hereby divided anew
into two registration districts, the names whereof shall be the
Dargaville and Tokatoka Districts, and the boundaries whereof
shall be coterminous with the boundaries of the marriage
districts bearing the same names as are set forth in a Proclama-
tion, of even date herewith, made under the provisions of "The
Marriage Act, 1880
."

And I hereby declare that this Proclamation shall come into
operation on the first day of August, in the year of our Lord
one thousand eight hundred and eighty-three.

Francis Drummond Jervois, Lieutenant-General in
Her Majesty's Army, Knight Grand Cross of the
