THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.

TAKE notice that the Newmarket Highway Board propose
to execute a public work by making a public road from
Park Road to Carlton Gore Road, and require for that purpose
to take the land coloured red on the plan made and prepared
on behalf of the said Board, and deposited in the office of the
said Board at Newmarket, within the Newmarket Highway
District, where the same can be inspected by all persons on any
week-day between the hours of 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. The said
road is proposed to be of the uniform width of sixty feet,
running from Park Road to Carlton Gore Road, and is portion
of Lot 22 of Section 3 of the Suburbs of Auckland, and
portion of Lot 23 of Section 3 of the Suburbs of Auckland,
particulars whereof are fully set out in the said plan. And the
said Board calls upon all persons affected to set forth in writing
any well-grounded objections to the execution of such works,
and to send such writing within forty days from the first publi-
cation of this notice to the said Board, at the above address,
addressed to the Chairman of the said Board.

In the matter of "The Industrial and Provident Societies Act,
1877," and the matter of the Southland Farmers' Co-operative
Association (Limited).

NOTICE is hereby given that, at a special general meeting,
duly convened, of the members of the above-named Asso-
ciation, held at the stores of the said Association, Spey Street,
Invercargill, on Saturday, the 2nd day of June, 1883, the follow-
ing special resolutions were passed :-

RESOLUTIONS.

  1. That, after hearing the Secretary's statement and report of
    the financial position of the Southland Farmers' Co-operative
    Association (Limited), and taking into consideration the fact
    that heavy losses have been sustained by the Association, it is
    expedient, and required, in the best interests of all concerned,
    that the Southland Farmers' Co-operative Association (Limited)
    be wound up voluntarily..
  2. That JOHN LYON MCDONALD, of Invercargill, be appointed
    Liquidator of the Southland Farmers' Co-operative Association
    (Limited), with a Committee of Inspection, consisting of
    Messrs. JAMES MACKINTOSH, JOHN MCINTYRE, JAMES
    GARDNER, JAMES FLEMING, and JOHN HOUGHTON.
    Dated this 2nd day of June, 1883.

NOTICE is hereby given that, on the twenty-fourth day
of March last, the undersigned WALTER HENRY JURY re-
tired from the business theretofore carried on by him in copart-
nership with the undersigned JOHN KIRTLEY CAMERON, JAMES
MCKENZIE, and JAMES YOUNG, as Sawmillers, in the Manga-
nui District, County of Taranaki, under the style of "The
Manganui Saw-mill Company," and has assigned all his in-
terests in the assets of the said Company to the undersigned
FREDERICK GEORGE TAYLOR.
The business will be carried on under the same style as here-
tofore by the continuing partners, together with the said
Frederick George Taylor.

MEDICAL PRACTITIONERS' REGISTRATION ACT,
1869.

I, DAVID MORICE, M.D. Edinburgh, and Lic. Col. Surg.,
Edinburgh, now residing in Auckland, having deposited
evidence of my qualifications with the Registrar of Births,
Marriages, and Deaths of the Auckland District this day, give
notice that I intend to apply to be registered under "The New
Zealand Medical Practitioners Act, 1869," on the 16th day of
July, 1883.

Bachelor of Medicine and Master in Surgery of the
University of Edinburgh, Scotland, registered as a Medical
Practitioner in the United Kingdom, hereby give notice that I
have this day deposited with the Registrar of the Nelson Dis-
trict the certificates of my having obtained the above degrees in
Medicine and Surgery, intending to apply to be registered under
the New Zealand Medical Act in one month from the date
hereof, and to practise my profession at the above address.
