Proclamation abolishing Hawke's Bay District Court
District.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by "The District Courts Act, 1858," it is enacted
that there shall be within the colony Courts of Record
possessing civil and criminal jurisdiction, to be called District
Courts; and the Governor is empowered from time to time, as
he shall think fit, by Proclamation in the New Zealand Gazette,
to constitute throughout the colony, or in any part thereof,
districts within which such Courts shall be respectively held,
and such districts to abolish, and the boundaries thereof to define
and alter: And whereas by a Proclamation bearing date the
eighteenth day of June, one thousand eight hundred and
seventy-eight, and published in the New Zealand Gazette on
the twentieth day of June, one thousand eight hundred and
seventy-eight, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of
New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and
authorities for that purpose vested in him, did constitute and
define the district in and by the said Proclamation described
and referred to, and named therein the Hawke's Bay Dis-
trict: And whereas it is expedient to abolish the said district:

Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and
exercise of the power and authority vested in me in this behalf,
do hereby proclaim and declare that

The Hawke's Bay District,
under "The District Courts Act, 1858," as the same is des-
cribed or referred to in the said Proclamation of the eighteenth
day of June, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-eight,
shall be and remain abolished from and after the thirtieth day
of June instant.

Seaside Road Board, County of Peninsula. -Extension of
Time for Preparation of Valuation Rolls, "Rating Act,
1882."

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twelfth day of
June, 1883.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS it has been made to appear that, owing to un-
avoidable circumstances, the Property-Tax Commissioner
has failed to forward to the Seaside Road Board the form of
valuation roll required to be furnished by him under subsection
one of section eleven of "The Rating Act, 1882," within the
time limited by the said Act, and it is expedient that the time
for forwarding such form and for taking the several steps and
doing the several matters consequent thereon should be ex-
tended:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, by virtue and in exercise of the powers and
authorities vested in him by the said Act, and by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony,
doth hereby order and declare that the several times mentioned
in the second column of the Schedule hereto shall be the
respective times for doing and completing the several matters
set opposite such times in the first column of the said Schedule
respectively.

2. For giving notices by Valuer ap- pointed by the said Board under sub- section 2 of section 11 of the above-men- tioned Act On or before the 1st July, 1883.
3. Valuation lists to be open to inspec- tion, and objections to assessments made by the said Valuer to be received Until the 14th July, 1883.

Regulations for the Mode of Application and Expenditure
of Revenues arising from the West Coast Settlement Re-
serves, and for Appointment of Fees.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twelfth day of
June, 1883.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by "The West Coast Settlement Reserves Act,
1881," it is enacted that the Governor in Council may
from time to time make, alter, and revoke regulations, inter alia,
for the mode of application and expenditure of all revenues
arising from the West Coast Settlement Reserves, and by any
such regulations may from time to time appoint fees to be paid
in respect of anything done under the said Act in relation to
any such reserve:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor, in pursuance
and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon him by
the hereinbefore in part recited Act, and by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony,
doth hereby make the following regulations as those upon which
the revenues arising from the said reserves may be applied and
expended, that is to say,-

The Public Trustee may, from time to time out of the
revenues of the said reserves, apply such portion as he may
determine in repayment to the colonial revenue of any advances
which may have been, or are to be, made out of the Consolidated
Fund for defraying the cost of surveys, construction of roads
and bridges, advertising, preparing and issuing leases prior to
the leasing of the said reserves.

And, by and with the like advice and consent, and in exercise
of the like power and authority, His Excellency the Governor
doth hereby appoint the following fees as those to be paid in
