SPECIAL ORDER.
EXTRACT from the minutes of a meeting of the Upper Ash-
burton Road Board, held on the 28th May, 1883 :-
Resolved, unanimously, That all elections of members of the
Upper Ashburton Road Board shall be conducted in the
manner provided by section 49 of "The Road Boards Act,
1882."
I certify that the above special order was made in every
respect as by law required.

Bridle-path in Cust Road District, County of Ashley, open
for Traffic.

THE following description of a road in the Cust Road Dis-
trict is gazetted as open for traffic as a bridle-path only, at
the request of the Road Board of the said district:β
Commencing at the Oxford Road and running through Sec-
tions 5340, 10249, and 9702 ; thence along the eastern boundary
of Section 7113 to the Terrace Road.

been pleased to disallow By-law No. 3, respecting the
licensing, &c., of vehicles plying for hire in the County of
Westland, made by the Westland County Council on the 14th
April, 1883, under "The Counties Act 1876 Amendment Act,
1882."
