Annual Meeting of Otaki Road Board validated.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this fifth day of
June, 1883.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the Board of the Otaki Road District failed to
hold the annual meeting during the first week in the
month of May last, as required by "The Road Boards Act,
1882:" And whereas the said annual meeting was held on the
ninth day of the said month of May last, and it is expedient to
validate the holding of the said meeting, and the proceedings
thereat:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise of the
powers vested in him by the said "Road Boards Act, 1882,"
doth hereby validate the holding of the said meeting on the said
ninth day of May, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-three,
and all proceedings taken thereat.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this fifth day of

Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the nominations of candidates for the office of
members of the Mandeville and Rangiora Road Board,
although made at the office of the said Board, were not made
at a place within the Mandeville and Rangiora Road District
as at present defined, and as required by "The Regulation of
Local Elections Act, 1876:" And whereas doubts have been
entertained as to the validity of the election of the members of
the said Board, which said election was held on the fourth day

of May, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-three, and it is
expedient to remove such doubts, and to validate the election so
held:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise of the
powers vested in him by "The Road Boards Act, 1882," doth
hereby validate the above-mentioned nominations and election,
and doth declare that the persons elected on the fourth day of
May, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-three, to be the
Board of the said Mandeville and Rangiora Road District shall
be the Board for the said road district as from the date aforesaid.

County of Waimea.

THE following special order, made by the Suburban North
Road Board, is published in accordance with "The Road
Boards Act, 1882."

SPECIAL ORDER.

Resolved, That the annual election of the Board, to be held
in 1883, shall be conducted at an open meeting of the rate-
payers.

I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed
at a meeting of the Suburban North Road Board on the 1st
June, 1883.
