"The Counties Act 1876 Amendment Act, 1882."

COPY of Special Order passed by the Southland County Council
at a Meeting held on the 5th January, 1883, relative to pro-
posed Tramway at Woodlands.
That this Council hereby, by special order, grant to Mr.
William Conyers and Mr. A. Hayes the right to lay and
work a tramway on the county roads lying between
Mabel and Invercargill Hundreds, and continuing to
Woodlands Railway Station; the tramway to be laid
and worked subject to the approval of the County
Engineer, but not to be nearer the side of road than ten
feet through the Village of Woodlands.
