Native Licensing Districts abolished and Native Licensing District constituted.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this sixteenth day of
January, 1883.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE GOVERNMENT
IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by the seventeenth section of "The Licensing
Act, 1881," it is enacted that the Governor, by Order in
Council, may from time to time alter the limits of any Native
licensing districts or abolish the same: And whereas it is
expedient to abolish the Native Licensing Districts of Wairoa
and Mohaka, and to constitute other districts in lieu thereof:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Administrator of the
Government, in pursuance and exercise of all powers enabling
him in this behalf, and by and with the advice and consent of
the Executive Council of New Zealand, doth hereby abolish,
from and after the first day of February next, the said Native
Licensing Districts of Wairoa and Mohaka, and doth constitute
and define the portion of the colony mentioned and described in
the Schedule hereto to be a Native licensing district from
and after the said first day of February next.

SCHEDULE.
CLYDE.
BOUNDED towards the North-east by the Waikaremoana
Ordinary Licensing District; towards the South-east by
the ocean to the northern boundary of the Hawke's Bay
County; towards the South-west by the said Hawke's Bay
County to the Rangitaiki River; and towards the North-west
by the East Taupo County and the Whakatane County re-
spectively to the place of commencement.

doth hereby make the following regulations for the purposes
of the said Acts, that is to say,-

REGULATIONS.

  1. The assessment rolls of real property for the several
    districts constituted under the said Acts shall be kept in the
    form in the Schedule A hereto, in lieu of that hitherto in use.
  2. The "sealed notice" required to be given to each person
    whose name appears on a real-property assessment roll shall be
    in the form in the Schedule B hereto.
  3. The form of objection to be given by any person who
    considers himself aggrieved by reason of any assessment in
    which he is personally interested shall be that set forth in the
    Schedule C hereto, in lieu of that hitherto in use.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE GOVERNMENT
IN COUNCIL.

IN exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested
in him in that behalf by "The Licensing Act, 1881," and
"The Licensing Act Amendment Act, 1882," His Excellency
the Administrator of the Government, by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the Colony of New
Zealand, doth hereby abolish, from and after the first day of
February next, the ordinary Licensing District of Tolago, and
doth hereby proclaim and define the District of Tolago, as
described in the Schedule hereto, to be a special licensing
district under the aforesaid Acts, from and after the said first
day of February next.

SCHEDULE.
TOLAGO.
BOUNDED towards the North, South, and East by the sea from
Cape Runaway to the mouth of the Turanganui River; thence
towards the South-west by the said Turanganui River, the
Taruheru River, the Gisborne Ordinary Licensing District, and
the Arai Riding of the Cook County to the Whakatane County;
and thence towards the North-west by the said Whakatane
County to Cape Runaway, the place of commencement.

SCHEDULE B.
"THE PROPERTY ASSESSMENT ACT, 1879," AND ITS
AMENDMENTS.
To Mr.
TAKE notice that your name appears on the Real Property
Assessment Roll for , as owner or occupier in respect of
the following property:-

Number. Description. Locality. Local Rating. Property-Tax.
Rateable Value of the Property. Valuation of Owner's Interest.

If you consider yourself aggrieved by the assessment, your
objection must be posted to me at my office, Wellington, so that
it may be received not later than the day of 1883.
Objections must be signed by the objector, and be written on
the prescribed forms, which may be obtained at any post office.

Property-Tax Commissioner.
NOTE. Public notice will be given of the sittings of the
Boards of Reviewers.
