Thames Railway (Waihou and Te Aroha Contracts).

A PROCLAMATION.
W Fields Act, 1866," bearing date the twenty-ninth day of
HEREAS by a Proclamation made under "The Gold
March, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-seven, and
published in the New Zealand Gazette of the fifth day of April
of that year, certain regulations were made for the Cardrona
Depasturing District, including, in regulation number one of
the said regulations, the appointment of certain persons as a
Board of Wardens for the said depasturing district:
And whereas the said regulations were amended by Procla-
mation bearing date the twenty-eighth day of February, one
thousand eight hundred and eighty-two:
And whereas it is expedient to further amend the said regula-
tions:
Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and
exercise of the power and authority enabling me in this behalf,
do hereby proclaim and declare that the regulation number one
referred to above shall be further amended, and that the
following regulation shall be and is hereby made in lieu
thereof:-
AMENDED DEPASTURING REGULATION.
- John Kerin, William Taylor, Richard Walsh, John
O'Callaghan, and Robert Millar, all of Cardrona, or such other
persons as the Governor may from time to time appoint, shall
be and are hereby appointed the Board of Wardens for the
above-named Cardrona Depasturing District.
Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir William
Francis Drummond Jervois, Lieutenant-General in
Her Majesty's Army, Knight Grand Cross of the
Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and
Saint George, Companion of the Most Honourable
Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-in-
Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony of New
Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral
of the same; and issued under the Seal of the said
Colony, at the Government House, at Auckland,
this ninth day of May, in the year of our Lord one
thousand eight hundred and eighty-three.

A PROCLAMATION.
W Thames
HEREAS the line of railway from Waikato to the
is one of the railways specified in the First Schedule to
"The Public Works Act, 1879," and which Act is, in the seventh
section thereof, declared to be a special Act authorizing the
construction of such railway; and the same is unfinished, and
it has been determined to coustruct and maintain a further
portion of such railway:
Now, therefore, I, William Francis Druummond Jervois, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and in
pusuance of the powers and authorities conferred on me by the
aforesaid section seven of "The Public Works Act, 1879," and
by sections one hundred and twenty-nine and one hundred and
thirty of "The Public Works Act, 1882," and in exercise of
every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that
behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the middle line of
the said further portion of the said railway shall be from a
point in Maungatapu Block, number one thousand three
hundred and three, Piako County, to a point situate on
the north-eastern boundary of section number twenty-five,
Te Aroha Gold Field Town, Aroha District, all within the
Provincial District of Auckland, as defined and set forth in the
Schedule hereto. The said middle line and the land through
which the same passes are set forth in the map and plan
marked P.W.D. 9987, and authenticated for the purposes of
this Proclamation by the signature of the Honourable Walter
Woods Johnston, the Minister for Public Works, and which
said map and plan is deposited in the office of the Registrar of
the Supreme Court at Auckland, in the Provincial District of
Auckland.
SCHEDULE.
COMMENCING at or near a point situated about 19 miles from
Hamilton, on the Waikato-Thames Railway, within the Mau-
ngatapu Block, No. 1303, Piako County, Maungakawa Survey
District, the said point being the termination of the portion
of railway as described in a Proclamation dated the 7th
March, 1881, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No.
18, of the 10th March, 1881, proceeding thence in a north-
easterly direction for a distance of 11 miles 25 chains or
thereabouts, and passing in, through, into, or over the following
blocks and lots, viz.: Maungatapu Block, No. 1303; Tatuaohana
No. 1 Block, No. 2980; Waihongi-Tatuachaua Block, No. 2742;
